Chapter 5

_______________Marinette's POV___________________________________________________

"You're...you're Marinette, aren't you?"

I froze. How did he know? That's when it hit me. When he was thrown away by Adrien's bodyguard, he had landed in the subway, so he must have seen me transform. Shit.

I opened my mouth to try and deny it, but instead I looked him right in his green eyes, and gave him a statement of my own.

"And you're Adr-?"

Suddenly, I saw Chat's eyeballs roll up and suddenly he was on the ground.

"Adrien? Are you ok?" I asked.

Instead he stayed down on the ground and suddenly, he screamed as if he was in pain. I tugged him a few times, and finally, he woke up.

"Adr- Chat, are you ok?"

"I'm fine m'lady, I'm not feeling well, I got to g-"

M'lady? The pet name triggering my thoughtsI was about to ask him whether he knew who i really was or not, but seeing his ghostly pale face, i knew he had to have time to recuperate.

"See you around LB," and with that he went off.

He forgot.

-----Switch------(Adrien/Chat Noir POV)------Go Back In Time

"You're...you're Marinette, aren't you?"

She panicked, so I knew I had to be right. I saw her open her mouth, but was still hesitating to say what she wanted to say.

"And you're Adr-"

Suddenly, I felt myself dragged into my own self as I heard a voice calling to me.

"Chat Noir, or should I say Adrien...We will meet soon my child. I'm not looking for your miraculous, but I will show you a glimpse of what awaits after I defeat the two of you," a voice said. Most likely a woman.

Soon after, I saw Paris, ablaze and filled with destruction. Everyone was dying, burning in flames. I could hear their screams, and I could feel their pain. First, it had started off in Paris, then slowly to France, and in the end the whole world.

I tried to close my eyes, but the force was too strong and I kept looking at all of the destruction. Then suddenly as I looked right, I saw Ladybug, lying down on the ground.

I hurried there, and took her in my arms as I knelt down.

"Ladybug?"

Suddenly, her hand grabbed mine and she tried to say something, which was made clearer to me by whoever dragged me here.l

"You--, could have--, saved--, us. Why--, didn't you--, do--, more?" and then I saw her close her eyes.

Then, as tears started to roll down my cheeks, I felt a branch like shard strike through my chest. It was white and glowing. I looked up towards the direction that it came from. That's when I finally saw her.

Arachne.

She looked a little like Doctor Octopus from Spiderman. The only thing different was that instead of arms, she had eight white and glowing branches coming out from her spine, acting as a support for her to stand and as shooting darts.

"Soon Adrien, this would all be reality..." She smirked.

Then, I felt being thrown back into the real world.

I saw Ladybug, kneeling down on the ground next to me.

"Adr- Chat, are you ok?" she asked.

"I'm fine m'lady, I'm not feeling well, I got to g-" I replied quickly, extending my baton. She seemed a little confused.
