Closer and closer

Durning the silence we ended up shuffling closer and closer together. The colder it got the closer together we got. I felt Lachlan's body heart radiating off of him onto me, I could barely see him as the street lights don't work around here but I could sense he was their. I didn't matter it was pitch black or that the clouds covered the moon. I knew he was their keeping me warm.

"It's getting late." Lachlan whispered shivering next to me, "We should probably go home."

"Yeah." I nod teeth chattering.

"Want to come mine?" He asked, "Because you have a longer way to walk and I don't want you to by yourself."

"That would be great." I smile.

"Come on then let's go." Lachlan's hand brushes against mine as we leave the park, this small accidental gesture spreads warmth through my body.

"Yeah let's go."

Every accidental touch, every slight brush of the hand makes me feel safe, makes me feel wanted. I love this feeling, I want more of it. I started to brush against him on purpose, I want the warmth to spread through my body. I want Lachlan.

When we get to Lachlan's house it's empty, I assume his mum is working late but being alone with Lachlan is amazing. I don't have to be as careful. I still can't say just anything but I'm not worrying about the small things.

"We should probably sleep." Lachlan smiles, "Come to my room I will sort out some blankets."

"Thank you." As Lachlan passes me some blankets my hand brushes against him again.

I couldn't place what this feeling was up until now but now I know.

It's love.

The greatest and most painful feeling. Bitter sweet love.

Authors note: okay sorry for the late update I've been busy with exams and I have my end of years coming up soon. Anyway I'm not sure if I told you guys this but I'm writing a oneshot book but each oneshot is inspired by a song.
