You both walk into the house and the warm surrounds you. It feels so much better than the cold, but your feet are still freezing. Your red converse did you no justice against the snow. John grabs your hand and leads you up the stairs.

"You don't have to show me where your room is man, I've been here before."

"I know, but it's so much cooler down here than it is in my room."

You both finally make it into his room and he closes the door behind you. You slip off your jacket and throw it on the floor and plop on his bed.

"How can you live here? It's so cold."

"I know it's cold," he sighs. "But I can't exactly move away just yet. Plus, it's home. I wouldn't know where to go besides here."

"Yeah, guess you're right." you reply.

He plops down beside you and kicks his feet.

"Sooooo, wutcha wanna do, Dave?"

You sigh a bit. "I'm hungry."

"Well, Dad just made a ca-"

"Nope never mind not hungry anymore." you cut him off.

"Yeah, I'm getting tired of his Christmas cakes and cookies too." he sighs again.

He reaches for your bag. "Here, I'll help you unpack!"

You lunge for the bag and grab it. "No man, your present is in there. Don't wanna ruin the surprise."

He lets go of the bag and let's you take it back. He smiles at you. "Finnneeeeee." he whines.

You set the bag close to your feet. John gasps a little. "I have an idea!" he shouts. He runs to his closet and grabs his jacket and a pair of shoes from his closet floor and slips them on. "Let's go see the Christmas lights they put up around town!" You guess that sounds like a good idea, but you're still not so hot about the cold. But, it's what he wants to do and you want to spend time with him, so you agree.

You both get halfway out of the house when you stop and look at John. "Dude, you're still wearing your pajama pants. Aren't you going to freeze your ass off?" He nods. "I don't really care though." You shrug. "Let's just hope you don't get sick." You close the door behind you.

He leads you through the housing and into the city streets. You didn't seem to notice all the lights before, probably because you were too busy freezing your ass off. You get to the middle of the town square and see a giant Christmas tree decorated with ornaments and lights. You both take a seat on a bench nearby. He kicks his feet. "Isn't it so pretty, Dave?" You nod. "Definatly looks more Christmasy than it ever does in Texas." He giggles at your comment. You lean back on the bench and look up, noticing the arch over the bench, and from that arch hung a little piece of Mistletoe. "Fucking hell." you whispered, but John seemed to hear you and followed your gaze. His face turned a deep red. "Is that Mistletoe?" he asked. "You swallowed and nodded, looking over at him. He leans over and kisses your cheek, you make a weird choking noise and burry your face in your hands while he lets out a nervous giggle. You stay like this for a few minutes before you gather enough courage to grab him by the collar of his jacket and pull him into a kiss. He stiffens up for a moment, but slowly relaxes into it before you pull way. "Dave..I uh..I think we should go home now." he whispers, blushing. You agree and stand up from the bench and start walking away. He catches up to you and walks by your side. You feel his hand touch yours and and the next thing you know, your fingers are locked together. You smile a bit to yourself, coming here was probably the best idea you had ever agreed to.
