Khaos Kollides

I sat patiently on my bed waiting for the next piece of information about the Khaos tournament.I constantly kept checking my phone, the time was about three seventeen in the morning.

I was unable to fall asleep, I was too curious to find out about how the tournament would be played out.Eventually as I began to doze off I heard a few notifications from my phone.

I quickly reached out for my phone and saw that I had three unread messages.
I scrolled to the first message and opened it, I began to read it carefully.
            

" Dear Ivan Tresh,

As a participant of the pre Khaos qualification matches, this is a message of verification that states you have successfully qualified for the final Khaos tournament to be held in the Khaos Kapitol, your registered avatar is known as The Dark Syndicate and your other two available Characterisations would be installed in the beginning of the tournament, there would be another message sent to you about the details of the venue

I quickly scrolled to second message that was unread.
At first I was hesitant to open it but I pushed away the thought and opened the message.

"Dear Ivan Tresh,

Congratulations on your qualification for the Khaos tournament, this message is written to give you the necessary detail on how the tournament shall be carried out, there would be certain requirements that you would need to understand:
¤There are 16 Khaos fighters partaking in the tournament.
¤The tournament will take place in the Khaos valley located inside the Khaos Kapitol.
¤Instead of one round there shall now be two rounds to win a Khaos battle.
¤A Khaos fighter is allowed three different Khaos characterisation.
¤The tournament would last for only a period of two weeks.
Now that you have received the requirements needed for khaos tournament you are expected to journey to the Khaos valley and assemble with all other Khaos fighters so you may partake in the opening round of the tournament

I searched all over my phone as a map that guides you to the Khaos valley appeared in my gallery.I slowly interpreted the map when I remembered I had one more unread message.

I closed the map and went back to search for the unread message.
This time though, it wasn't from the Khaos Konstructor but it was from Retrix.

Retrix was one of the only friends I had, we started Khaos about the same time.He also qualified for the Khaos tournament and his Khaos character is a very popular one.

He's know as the Retrixer, and even when I suggested that Retrix sounded like a fairly good Khaos name.He warned that it was he who was meant to name his Khaos avatar.

He sent a message to congratulate me for qualifying for the tournament.
He also said he wanted to journey with me to the Khaos valley and gave me an address to meet up at a cybernetic station.

It was what was used to transport the Khaos fighters to the Khaos valley.
All in a rush, I got my things ready and set out for the cybernetic station, luckily I had already sorted my things, so everything was ready when I started heading out.

The cybernetic station was not the easiest place to find.In fact I'm sure if you didn't have a map, the station would be almost impossible to locate.It took me countless turns and walks before I could arrive here.

When I finally arrived, I looked up at the entrance and was surprised how vague and plain it was.
A digital door with a sign above that spelt out the word Khaos.Just looking at it made me lose my temper.

I stepped to the entrance door and a Khaos panel suddenly rose from an opening on the ground.
The device was turned on and it spelt the word "WELCOME", it asked me for my log in details.
This reminded me of when I first signed up for Khaos.

They asked me to take security precautions like biometrics and back up passwords.
After entering my log in details a small touch panel came up and asked for my finger prints.

I typed in my backup password and placed two thumbs on the touch panel.The screen turned blank and when it came on again it spelt the words "Welcome Dark Syndicate".

It also stated that I was the four tenth Khaos fighter to log in to the station.As the doors began to open I wondered if Retrix had already arrived here.These thoughts quickly disappeared as I saw his figure standing in front of me.

I saw him as I usually do, casually dressed and happy looking.Unlike me, Retrix allowed his khaos avatar's identity to be open.He didn't change the way he looked in the game and also never covered his face in a battle.

Almost anyone could tell that he was the Retrixer just by looking at his face.I on the other hand didn't want people to know that I was The Dark Syndicate.

In fact only a very few people know who I am in real life and to be honest, I plan to keep it that way.
"What took you so long" he asked

"I've been waiting here for about an hour now," he added.

"Sorry Retrix, I was lost when heading here," I answered.

"Come on, let's head up, the Khaos locomotive is just up ahead," I told him.

Retrix is a very good fighter, he's one of the few that would actually give me a hard time in a battle.
He never uses the same strategies and always keeps a cool head during battle.

I do hope I don't encounter him at some point in the tournament.Hopefully he would be eliminated before we get a chance to encounter each other.

I don't plan to go easy on anyone for the next two weeks.We reached the Khaos locomotive, it is a device that scatters your body essence and rearranges them to the location inputed.

"Let me get on first, I've been waiting here a long time anyways," Retrix suggested.

"Sure no problem, go ahead" I replied.

He stepped into the chamber and sat on the the cyber seat.He enter his six key encryption given to all qualified fighters.His body essence began to disappear from the chair and when the transfer was complete the door opened for the next user.

I stepped into the chamber and sat on the cyber chair.I tried to recall my six key encryption, and when I finally remembered it, I entered the encryption quickly.When I finished I noticed the entrance of another Khaos fighter.

I had seen his face somewhere, it was very familiar but before I could recall it,my body essence fully disappeared.
