"Yeah..." Jamie stated over the phone. "Yeah, I'll be there. Yeah, I'll see you. Yeah, bye." He nodded before standing up and sliding his phone into his pocket.
"Where are you going?" I looked at him as he walked over to the front door. My laptop was sitting on my lap and Google Documents pulled open.
"Out. They needed me at the office. It's not like you had to be out recording anyway." He shrugged his jacket on before sliding his shoes on.
"What time will you be home?" I asked, playing with the honey bee necklace that was on my neck.
"I don't know. I'll see you later." He muttered before leaving. I sighed, placing my laptop on the couch next to me. I stood up, slid my own shoes on and left.
I don't know if he was lying to me or not. He's been doing that a lot lately. I don't dare call him out on it. If I did, he'd leave me for sure.
A week. A week... I wonder if she's been over since. Probably... I wouldn't be surprised if that were true. Who am I kidding, it probably is true.
My car sat in the garage, ready to be driven. I got in, and drove towards the studio where Brendon would be. Maybe the other would be there too. The others being Dallon, Kenny, and Dan. Hopefully Ryan caught a cold and won't be joining us. Or maybe he will be joining us and I can just ignore him. Either way, I'll be happy.
The weather was nice. It was chilly, but warm enough that you didn't need a coat. So, I wore a sweater. I enjoyed this kind of weather. Comfy...
The studio had a few cars in front of it. I recognized three of them.
I parked, got out, and walked in.
"Mrs. Novak!" The secretary smiled as soon as I stepped in. The smile was forced...
"I told you to call me Amy." I stated, leaning on the counter. "Any of my boys here?"
"Dallon and Brendon. Along with Ryan." She nodded towards the office. I did a light nod before walking towards the office. My purse bounced at my hip as I walked towards the office. Dallon is actually helping us today. He'll be doing some bass work while guitar work will be done by Brendon. I asked Spencer if he wanted do the drums. HE said he would try. And if he couldn't, Brendon or Zack said they could do it.
"Hey," I smiled as I stepped inside of the office. Dallon was sitting on the couch with his laptop on the coffee table. Brendon was sitting at his desk and Ryan was sitting next to him, they were looking at the computer.
"Hey, Amy." Dallon looked at me and smiled.
"How's it going?" I asked, taking the armchair.
"It's going." Dallon replied, a small smile on his lips. I simply nodded.
"Two weeks from now Jamie and I are having a BBQ. You and the rest of the Weekes crew are invited if you guys are free." I stated, pulling out the USB out of my purse and holding it in my hands. Ryan turned around in the chair and looked at me, a sly smile on his lips.
"Inviting people to a party, I see. Don't I get an invite?" He cocked his head to the side. Brendon had a pair of headphones on, so he couldn't hear anything that was going on.
"Good news! You're not invited." I looked at him with a fake smile. His smile went away but then came back as soon as he realized I just "quoted" one of his songs.
