Daniel lifted his arm and placed three soft knocks on the door. The noise echoed throughout the quiet hallway.
"Come in," A voice declared from the other side of the door.
Daniel twisted the door knob and let me enter first. The room wasn't very big, the big desk and bookshelves took up most of the room. A man in his mid thirties sat on a leather chair with some papers in his hands. He didn't look up at us when we entered, which was strange as I am not in his pack and probably smell of the rogues that kidnapped me.
The man, who also was the Alpha of the Saltus Alba pack, didn't really seem interested in us. He was just looking down at the papers in his hands.
"Rude," Luceat scoffed.
"Excuse me," I said, looking down at the man in the leather chair. He didn't react.
"Excuse me," I said once again, but using my Beta tone this time.
The Alpha looked up at me with his eyes narrowed, he didn't look too happy. Probably because of me, a Beta, using my Beta tone on him, an Alpha.
"What?" He said coldly, now probably catching a whiff of the smell of rogue emitting from me.
"Stella," I said and held my hand out for him to shake. When he didn't shake my hand I continued, "I sorta got kidnapped by some rogues, so I am just going to-"
"Kidnapped by some rogues?" The alpha asked, narrowing his eyes even more at me. He didn't like me, that's for sure.
"Yeah... I was out running back in the Dawn Packs territory-," I began, but got cut off yet again by the annoying alpha.
"The Dawn Pack, what were you doing there?"
All I wanted to do was to glare at him and claw his eyes out because of how annoying he was, but I couldn't, after all he is an Alpha.
"I was there for the meeting," I explained and crossed my arms over my stomach.
The Alpha frowned, "What pack are you from?"
"The Unwanted's," I said staring into his yellow eyes.
"Am I right when I say you're the Beta of that pack?"
I nodded, not wanting to carry out this conversation for much longer than this.
"I was going to ask you if me and these rogues could pass by, I want to see what they're up to," I said and took a step forward.
The man changed position in the chair, making the leather creak. He tilted his head a little, "Why would you want to follow them? They could have a pretty big rogue pack-,"
"Because I am no ordinary werewolf, that's all I have to say."
I narrowed my eyes at the man, "So what do you say?"
He tapped his fingers on the table as if he was thinking about my request. When the tapping finally stopped he spoke, "And how does this benefit me?"
A little smirk grew on my lips as I took yet another step closer, "How this benefits you? Don't you want me to get rid of a rogue pack in the area?"
"And how would you be able to take down an entire rogue pack all by yourself?" The Alpha smirked and leaned forward.
I caught a whiff of his breath, it smelled like coffee and fish. Gosh, he needs to brush his teeth.
"I told you," I said now standing right in front of him, "I am no ordinary werewolf."
The Alpha nodded a little, his fingers were back to tapping on the table. He was thinking.
