Chapter 8

"Wait... So if I have gotten this right... Is your wolf black?" Maddie walked behind me, following me deeper into the forest.

"No," I said and stopped.

"Well, then I don't understand," she said and sat down on a stump.

I turned my back against her and took off my clothes.

"You'll understand now," I said and shifted into my wolf.

Slowly I turned around, Maddie gaped at me. She nodded slowly, "I-I understand now."

She stood up and walked up to me. Lightly she laid her hand on my back and patted my fur, "But how can you be so big?"

"I don't know... I have some theories though," I answered through the mind-link.

I backed away a little,"Are we going on a run or not?"

Maddie nodded and turned around to take off her clothes. When she was completely naked she shifted into her brown wolf, which was just a little smaller than mine.

Her wolf looked pretty normal, besides the alpha traits of her. Her wolf was naturally a bit bigger and faster, sometimes stronger too. But there was something... A little extra...

"Maddie, the last three years...," I started slowly as I took up my clothes from the ground.

She walked up to me with her clothes in her mouth, "Yes?"

We began walking deeper into the forest, "Have you... Have it happened something... Weird?"

"Uhh, what do you mean by 'weird'?" She stopped and looked at me as she cocked her head to the side.

"Like... I- I'll explain later when we come back," I said and started jogging, her trailing after me.

When we had been running for about half an hour, we stopped to look around. Fortunately, we were still in the same territory.

I looked out over the little field in front of us. A deer was eating leaves of a bush in the other corner of it. It made my stomach rumble.

Maddie sneaked up to my side, "So you're hungry?"

I nodded, or at least I tried. Maddie crouched down a little, so that the deer wouldn't see her. I followed her action and watched the deers moves.

Maddie sneaked away to the right of me, into the forest again. Slowly, I followed her so that I wouldn't loose her.

She stopped, "Look, I'm going to jump out from that bush and kill it." She walked up to the bush.

"Okay," I responded and laid down on the ground to wait for her to come back with the deer.

After about a minute she came back with the now dead deer and laid in front of me.

I dropped my clothes beside Maddie's on the forest floor.

"Mmm, deer," Luceat cheered, she loves deer.

"Ew! Are you guys honestly going to eat that?" Brea didn't seem as satisfied, she rather seemed disgusted.

I stood up and let my canines bite down into the deers back, "Yeah, why?"

Brea made a weird noise, "Ewww!"

Luceat and I rolled our eyes at her, it is just a deer.

I ate a big chunk of the deer, before my stomach was satisfied. Maddie didn't eat as much as me, she just took a bite of the front leg.
