Chapter 5

As soon as I walked in the front door of our apartment I burst into tears. I couldn't contain myself, home just reminded me so much of mum. I still found it hard to understand that she was no longer in my life.

But the fact we were having to leave the home we were brought up in and the home that has thousands of wonderful memories sickens me. None of us ever liked our dad after he left. He betrayed mum and after seeing mum crying night after night I grew much hate for him.

Now that we had all packed just about everything we owned we were getting into the Taxi, leaving every memory we have of mum behind, leaving our home.

After dropping off our bags, getting security checks and waiting round for hours we were finally able to board the plane.

I sat down in my seat next to Luke and Levi. The first thing I did was put the blanket on me and put my headphones in. Honestly that is all I wanted to do, listen to music and get away from my now terrible life.

Since I was listening to music and watching sad movies most the way there, the time went pretty quickly. But I would rather stay on this plane for the rest of my life then get off to meet my ass hole of a father.

*5 hours later*

I stretched my arms after sleeping for only about half an hour. I slowly stood up being cautious of my still sore arm, leg and ribs. The doctor said I was aloud of of a wheel chair but to walk slowly, don't rush and take breaks.

I grabbed my hand luggage which was just a back back with my phone, headphones, a jumper, my laptop and some other random things. As I stepped off the plane as went through the tunnel to the airport I noticed how much warmer it was here than New York. Even though we were inside I could still feel the heat.

After collecting our luggage and going through more security checks we started to look out for him. I didn't really know what he looked like but apparently he knew what we looked like. We were told to walk around the airport till he spots us. So that's what we did, we walked and walked until a large women in about her 50's with dark red hair came bouncing up to us.

"Are you Leah-Rose, Luke and Levi Williams?" She asked while reading off a piece of paper with a picture of us three attached to it. Luke was first to reply.

"Yeah that's us, who are you."

"I'm Hilda," She replied. "Your father had some things to do so he asked that I picked you up."

"Oh right, well thanks." I said nervously. She seemed nice enough but I was quite iffy about knew people. Especially ones who come to pick me up at airports. She smiled.

"Well come on then." She said as she spun around and strutted through the airport. We quickly followed behind. To be honest I found it incredibly rude the our own father wouldn't do the small task of picking us up after not seeing us for 8 years. Maybe hes more of a dick then I thought he was.

As we walked through the carpark. She clicked a button on her keys and the headlights of an amazing looking car flashed. If this was my dads car he must be absolutly loaded.

We got in the car and buckled up. I couldn't believe how nice it was. It made me think of what his house was going to be like, what our house was going to look like.

As we pulled into the perfectly concreted driveway I watched as rows of palm trees on each side of the drive went past. It was quite steep but as we came to the top my jaw dropped as I started in awe at the white 3 story house above me, not to mention it was about a 2 minute walk to the beach.
