Everyone was packed up, ready to go. I looked up and saw everyone almost done with their goodbyes. This made me feel kinda lonely, seeing that I had not one to say goodbye to.

My grandma was on the trip, along with most of my friends. I had gotten to know Haley and Natalie.

I walked over to Reese when she said goodbye to what looked like her sister. "Bye Reese," the sister called.

"Bye Avery!" Reese replied. They both looked sad, but I could tell they were trying to hide it. Avery, had on a pair of jean-shorts along with the orange Camp Half-Blood shirt. Her orange shoes went with her curly blonde hair.

I put my suitcase down next to Reese and plop down. I sigh, "Your sister, right?"

Reese looks at me and nods, "Yeah. I-I am a-"

"Krisino," I finish for her.

"Yep, and I'm from... Athena and well, my sister... Aphrodite," Reese said.
"I don't think it's a good thing though."

"About being a Krisino, you know. I don't feel... Right. It's hard to explain," Reese adds.

I nod and say, "I get it." Because I really do. I can see how it would be hard for her, even without the power of Athena.

Even though I wouldn't be able to fight well if I didn't have the power of Athena.

"Thanks," Reese blurted out after a few minutes.

"Huh?" I said, in confusion.

"Thanks for listening. It felt good to get that out," she told me. At that, she walked off.

Hmm. I wanted to make Reese feel better about being a Krisino... But I guess all she had to do was except it.

Except it...

My thoughts were interrupted by Jeffory sitting down, taking Reese's spot. "Hey, what's up?" He asked me.

"The sky," I joked.

We both smiled, even though we were both trying to hide the worry and sorrow in our eyes. "I better get going," I said to him.

"Hm, well good luck. Be safe when you can. And never, NEVER give up. Now, go run to the danger and come out safely my love," Jeffory waved me off and tears flooded my vision.

After walking towards the gate, I realized I forgot something. I ran back to Jeffory and hugged him. After a moment of his shock, he warmly wrapped his hands around me tightly, hugging me back. "Go on and lead, my leader. They need you," he said, his voice catching.

I nod, run back before tears could overcome me. I looked down until we got out of the gates. Where my first obstacle awaits.
