Haley's P.O.V.
After all I am a daughter of chaos... Why did she choose ME?! I-I...On my last day, I visited the blacksmith. I met a tired looking girl around my age. Her brown hair flowed in the wind, over her brown eyes.
"Hey," She says to me.I recognize her. She was... U-um... Oh yeah! The girl that got picked on the quest. "Uh, what do you think... About the quest?" I ask her.
"I don't really know what to think. You know?" The girl shrugs. Her tan skin glitters in the afternoon light. I didn't know how to answer. Though, I can tell she wanted an answer.
"Uh, well... I mean I've heard of the prophecy... So," I answer. I guess I really didn't know what to think either.
After a few uncomfortable moments of silence, the girl walked out. I was left alone for the moment.
I took off a few minutes later, stuffing all the weapons and tools in my bag. I gotta be prepared, right?
Audrey's P.O.V.
My last day was spent packing and, of course, recovering. None of the doctors or nurses wanted me to have anything because I could get more than I needed.
Well, to be honest with you, I felt worse than I look. The medics packed a lot of remedies and all for me, but I knew I was going down.
I knew this was going to be a victory, but I was still going to lose. My blurry mind tried to process it, but all I could think is to hope that I go down properly.
I'll keep my proper version of dying to myself, thank you very much.
As the people around me faded slowly, I felt myself falling to sleep slowly, in the hospital bed.
Reese's P.O.V.
I didn't know what to do with myself on the last day. As I walked to my sister's cabin, I could feel the burn of people's eyes, full of pity, burning on me.
I sat down on Avery's cot as she came back with water. I was surprised when she actually got another cup and thrusted it into my hands.
My sister never... NEVER... "Um... Thanks." I say, still surprised. The Aphrodite cabin AND my sister was the last place I think anyone would actually care about...
For once my sister had nothing to say to me. I pulled out something from my bag. It was my turn to thrust something into Avery's hand.
She flipped the package over again till she found the piece of tape. "Something to remember me by," I state.
Avery nods, looking up at me, the present half ripped open. "Your not going to die, dumbo." She smirks at the remark, but we both smile.
"And how do you know?? Huh, you are not a daughter of Athena?!" I smart mouth talk back to her.
"Everyone thinks that children of Athena are the only smart ones around here. Really? I think I'm ready for a change, don't mind if I do," Avery says.
I smile gratefully as if she actually believed in me. Avery gasps at the mirror in the package. I had personalized it so that it looked like Avery had devil horns and a mustache if she looked into it straight
I started laughing and Avery frowned at me. She shoved at me.
"Oh I'm so sorry!" I say laughing. Soon, we both break into an unstoppable laughter. The last... The last happy moment I'll probably ever get.
