Steph's pov
"Morning" I say walking downstairs into the kitchen. "Morning" says my mom. "There's a stack of waffles if you want one" says my dad pointing to the stack. "They actually don't taste disgusting this time." Says Trend following behind me to get another one from what it looks like. "Hey! My waffles were never disgusting." My dad said defensively. "Sorry but it's true." Trent says. I take a waffle and sit at the kitchen island. "So kids do you have any plans today?" My mom asks while getting coffee for herself. "I bet Steph is going on a date with her boyfriend across the street." Trent says chuckling. My face lights up red. "Oh Steph you never told me you had a boyfriend. Is he the boy who just moved here?" My mom asks in a high tone. "Have you made out with him yet?" My dad asks. "What the hell dad?" I yell almost chocking on the waffle. "I'm not dating the guy from across the street and I probably never will!" I say. "So there's a chance you'll date him?" Trent teases. "Shut up" I say giving him a playful nudge. I'm smiling to go along with the joke. "I do have plans though" I say "I'm going to the park by our house at 2 with 2 guys from the boys team." I say. "Ok. How about you Trent?" Dad asks. "Meeting with some friends at the library to study for that English test we have tomorrow." Trent says. Both of us care a lot about school and our grades. Both Trent and I make it onto the honour roll every year. "Sound cool for the both of you. Your dad and I will be running errands and then going out for dinner. So the noise is free if you want. Just don't make a mess or anything. Ok? My mom says. "Ok mom" we both say.

We finish breakfast by 9:30, so we all go upstairs to get dressed and all that. I take a shower and let my hair air dry before changing. To pass the time, I finish up all of the weekends homework and some other things due this week. Once my hair is dry I decide to choose my clothes. I don't think too hard about it, since I'm not trying to look all fancy for Gavin and Patrick. I finally decide on a pair of blue skinny jeans and a plain maroon long sleeve shirt. By then it's 12:00 and I get a text from the group chat I'm in with Gavin and Patrick.
Gavin-Guys wouldn't it be cool if we all wear our team jackets? We'd look like a super squad or something.
I chuckle at that text.
Patrick- gav u have no idea how basic u sound
Gavin-what??? Idc if it seems basic. We'd still look cool
Patrick-tru
I'm down for this idea. Besides, it would make for a really cool Instagram pic.
Me- I'm down for this idea. We'd look bomb
Gavin-see Patrick someone agrees
Patrick- I never said no. I agree with Steph, we would look bomb af.
Me-and it would make for a good pic for Insta
Patrick-^^^
Gavin-so we can wear the jackets then and look all cool?!?!
Me-duh
Patrick-see u then
Me-byeeeee
Gavin-bye
Once the texts are done I decide to pass the time drawing Kanye West and Snoop Dogg in their Jaguar sports car. Once I finish I make my way to the park to meet Gavin and Patrick
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once I arrive at the park I see Gavin and Patrick sitting on the swings in their hockey jackets. "Hey!" I yell as I speed up my walking pace so I could meet up with them. Once I get to them Patrick gets up from off the swing and pulls Gavin with him. "Hey Steph it's nice to see you again." Patrick says with a smile. Gavin just stands there staring at me without saying anything. Patrick nudges his hip and then Gavin finally says "Oh sorry. Hi Steph." That was a bit odd. We stand in awkward silence for about two minutes. "So what do you guys want to do?" I ask to release the tension. "How about we just walk around and see where that goes?" Gavin suggests. "Sure" Patrick and I say in unison. This is going to be fun.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"How about here?" I say pointing to my driveway. "Against the garage?" Asks Gavin. "That would look cool." Says Patrick. "So how exactly are we going to take this?" Asks Patrick. "I can put my phone on this iPhone tripod my brother uses for his photography" I suggest. They both nod and I run into my house and get Trent's tripod from the family office-art space. Trent has a passion for all types of art, so he loves this space. Once I get the tripod I bring it to the driveway and position it in a way so we look decent. "How should we pose?" I ask. Gavin and Patrick shrug and we figure it out from there. We finally decide on having Gavin on the left looking at the camera, me in the middle with my elbow propped on his shoulder and Patrick leaning on the garage with one leg propped up looking to the opposite side of me. After 200 tries we finally get it. "Damn we look good." Patrick says and we all laugh. "I just sent the photo to the group chat." I say. "Great. We gotta go now. Bye Steph!!" Says Patrick walking away. "Bye Steph. I really enjoyed today. You're super cool and we should hang out alone together sometime, you know of you want too" says Gavin all nervously. He's scratching his head, and he looks kind of cute doing it too. "I'd love too." I say. He lets put a breath of relief and we just stare at each other. "GAVIN!" Patrick yells. "Coming!" He yells back. He gives me one last smile as he runs off. Something about him just gets me going. Like Blake.

Once we finish dinner I post the picture on Instagram and get all ready for bed. I change into some sweats and a shirt I got from a tournament. Once I finish I put my reading glasses on and begin to read "Me, Earl and the Dying Girl." Once I get all comfortable my MacBook starts to go off. I go and check it and it shows an incoming FaceTime call from Blake. I bring the MacBook to my lap and answer the call. "Hi Blake!" I say cheerfully. "We need to talk." He says sternly. I wonder why he's so stern all of a sudden...
