The Mistake I'll Never Regret
Chapter 11
Dylan's pov
Jac was rushed into sugary again, the bleeding in her brain got worse and only time will tell how long she's got to live. The baby on the other hand is in intensive care, fighting for her life.
They done an emergency c-section just moments after arriving. They're not sure if she'll make it either. I ran my hand through my hair.
I've been sitting outside the sugary room for over two hours now. Jac's parents arrived over an hour ago, the police following shortly behind. They asked questions about the attack and who i may think the attacker was.
I paused for a moment debating on weather I should tell them or not, and eventually I did. I couldn't have Belinda getting away with this, she had to pay for what she done to Jac and our child.
"Hey, how you holding up?" Sue asked, dragging me away from what happened before.
"alright I guess" I sighed. "How about you?"
"I'm holding up" she replied. We sat in silence for a few minutes, thinking. I looked down at the floor, a few tears dripping onto the ground.
"Mrs.Reed" A male voice spoke. I looked up and saw one of the doctors standing in front of Sue.
"Yes?" she responded looking up at the doctor.
"We have some good news & some bad news. The baby seems to be doing extremely well at the moment, but we still gotta keep a close eye on her, the surgeons have also stopped the bleeding in Jac's brain again..." The doctor spoke.
"But..." Sue said, worry feeling her eyes, knowing there was a but coming.
"But she's only got a few days to live before the bleeding starts again, and this time we can't do anything more to stop it, its going to keep happening" Sue broke down into tears.
"not my baby" she repeated through sobs. "not my baby." I wrapped my arms around her tightly. My t-shirt wet from her tears. Ian came running down the corridor. Worry filled his face.
"What's wrong? Dylan. What happened? " he asked worry in his voice.
"Jac,she she's only has a few days left" I whisper choking back tears.
