chapter 13 choose to live or die

Alec woke up an hour later and groaned. He opened his eyes and saw everyone in Magnus' living room. Alec asked "Why am I here?"

Raphael answered "You are here because we need to talk to you as family and friends."

Jace said, "Alec, we know that you won't hurt us. You love us because we are your family. You won't hurt any of us."

Isabelle said, "Alec, I love you as a brother and I always will no matter if you live forever or not. We are family and family sticks together until they die."

Clary said, "You are my friend and I don't want to lose a friend because you broke the accords."

Robert said, "Son, you happy now. You have a live to fulfill with Magnus by your side for eternity. We love you and you should know that. You are a vampire and we don't care because we love you."

Maryse said, "Alec, you have Magnus to live the rest of your life with. You have each other and you love each other. Don't let your vampire side take that away from you. I love you no matter who you are or what you are because we are all family and family sticks together through thick and thin. Through right and wrong."

Magnus said, "Alexander, you are my life. You are my heart and soul. You are my forever. You are my beautiful blue-eyed guardian angel. You are my handsome vampire shadowhunter who I'll cherish and love forever. I can help you through this and so can everyone else. We all love you no matter if you are a vampire, warlock, or even werewolf. You are part of our lives and nothing will change that except death. Don't even think about killing yourself because we will stop you."

Alec said, "You guys are so thoughtful. I love you all too, but I need help from the only people who can and that is the vampires. I am going to live at the hotel. You can't make me change my mind about this. None of you can. Not even the mind games that you play with me Magnus. Nothing will."

Magnus said, "I need to go." Then Magnus made a portal and left.

Raphael said, "Alec, I told you not to hurt my friend and look at what you did. Dios, no one ever listens. Stay here with him. Don't let him go anywhere. If he's hungry, make him drink some of your blood. I need to go find Magnus before he does something very bad like kill himself or worse. He could send himself to his father and no one wants that." Then Raphael left.

Alec said, "Oh no! What have I done? I messed up my relationship and my love life. Don't touch me. I need a shower. I'll be back."

Alec went into the bathroom and turned on the water. He got undressed and went in. He started showering and then he decided to do something bad. He prolonged his fangs and his fingernails. Then he cut his wrists and his parabati rune.

In the living room, Jace screamed. Simon said, "His rune. Oh no! It's Alec. He's doing something to the rune."

Simon ran to the bathroom and opened the door. He saw Alec with his parabati rune all bloody. He was cutting it. Simon went over to Alec and turned the water off. He grabbed a towel and put it around Alec.

He took Alec to a room and put him on the bed. Maryse and Robert came in. Robert said, "He wanted to die. My son is being an ass. Alec, Magnus loves you. When you chose the hotel over him, it ruined him and what happens when you reject your soulmate? They hurt and it hurts bad. Their heart is broken and they may die. You need to save yourself and your relationship. You love each other." Robert and Maryse started crying.

Everyone else came in and Clary said, "Save your relationship. Don't let Magnus kill himself. You need to live."

Isabelle said, "Choose to live."

Maryse said, "Alexander, choose to live."

Alec became conscious and yelled "I choose to live." Then Alec sat up and roared like a lion. Everyone jumped at the sound. Alec said, "Hand me something of Magnus'. I hope my tracking is stronger." Then Alec put a tracking rune on his hand and had a shirt of Magnus' in his hand. He went into his mind and found Magnus about to go into the seelie court. Alec ran out of the apartment faster than anyone could see.

He got to Central Park and saw Magnus. Alec said, "Magnus."

Magnus looked and saw Alec. Magnus said, "Alexander, what are you doing here?"

Alec answered "I chose to live. I choose you." Then Alec ran to Magnus and kissed him. Magnus deepened the kiss and Alec's fangs came out. Alec separated himself from Magnus and said, "You are my life. I can't let my vampire side choose anything for me. You are my heart and soul."

Alec heard something in his head "You chose to live Alec. That's what I wanted you to figure out the whole time. You just had to get it through that thick skull of yours. Come back to me and your family. Simon sent me a text that you left the apartment and I figured out that you obviously chose to live. I am at the apartment. Come."

Alec thought "I'm coming back home to my family. I'll see you there, sire."

Magnus said, "We should go back. I love you Alexander." Then they left Central Park.

They got to the apartment and they stepped in, hand in hand. Magnus said, "Hey everyone!"

Jace said, "Raphael told us that you chose Magnus over the clan. We will teach you and help you through it all." Then Jace went over to Alec and gave him a hug.

Magnus said, "Why is Jace bleeding?"

Simon answered "Alec did it in the shower. He decided that it was a good time to cut his parabati rune and make Jace hurt. How did you get clothes on Alec?"

Alec answered "I used my speed and before I left here, I changed using my speed. I am so worry for what I did Jace. I just wanted to die because I ruined my relationship." Then Alec felt his fangs prolong. Magnus snapped his fingers and 2 blood bags showed up in Alec's hands. Alec said, "Thanks!" He drank them and finished before a minute. He threw them away and sat on the couch. Magnus sat beside him.

Raphael said, "We will all train at the institute tomorrow at 6am. See you tomorrow." Then Simon and Raphael zoomed out of the apartment.

Alec said, "I should get some sleep. See you guys whenever." Then Alec went to the bedroom and fell asleep.

At 8pm, Jace, Clary, Isabelle, Maryse, and Robert left the apartment.

At 12am, Alec woke up and screamed. He had a nightmare. Magnus said, "Sshh. Alec, it was just a nightmare. No one can hurt you." Alec cuddled into Magnus and fell asleep again.
