chapter 16 Lucca and controlling the hunger

At 9am, everyone woke up. Magnus said, "Good! We are all up. I'll make some breakfast. Alec will get the vampires something." They ate breakfast and got dressed.

After they were dressed, they noticed that Magnus didn't come out of the bedroom. Alec went to check on him and he wasn't in there. Alec said, "Magnus, where are you?" Magnus didn't answer. Alec said, "I sense that something is wrong. Someone hand me something of Magnus'. Isabelle handed him a shirt and Alec went to go track Magnus. He tried again and again, but he wasn't getting anything. Alec said, "I can't find him. He's being blocked some how."

Raphael said, "Magnus is my friend. He is our friend." Then Raphael started crying. Raphael said, "I can help. Let me try something." Raphael tried and tried. Then Raphael's phone rang and he answered it. Raphael asked "What do you want?"

The person on the other side said, "Hello brother!"

Raphael said, "Lucca Santiago. My brother. Why are you calling?"

Lucca answered "I may have someone that you want. I'm not in the United States or the continent or North America."

Raphael said, "You took Magnus. Why?"

Lucca answered "I am going to do bad things to him. Very bad. I'll whip him and destroy him."

Raphael said, "Brother, why are you doing this?"

Lucca answered "I am doing this so I can take your clan."

Raphael said, "You want my clan, so come and take it. I'll let you have it."

Lucca said, "This was easier than I thought. I'll be at the hotel in 5 minutes."

Raphael said, "Okay, see you there." Raphael hung up.

Alec said, "Let's go now."

They got to the hotel in 4 minutes and Raphael saw his brother with a dagger to Magnus' throat. Lucca said, "Brother, you brought some Nephilim with you. I knew that it was too easy."

Alec said, "Look behind you." Lucca looked behind him and he saw Alec. Alec prolonged his fangs and he punched Lucca. Lucca let Magnus go. Magnus stood up and saw Alec in his fighting stance. He saw 3 runes lit up. The strength, speed, and some other rune. Alec said, "I will kill you." Then Alec disappeared out of nowhere. Alec said, "Over here. Up here. Over here. Down here." Then he saw Alec run at him out of nowhere with his fangs prolonged. Alec caught him and bit his throat. Lucca screamed. Then Alec twisted Lucca's head and Lucca turned into dust. Alec growled. He put his fangs away and saw everyone looking at him. Alec asked "What?"

Raphael said, "I didn't see you. You really were a blur. I have never seen anyone fight like that. You are an amazing vampire. I noticed that you just fought with your heart and not your anger. That's good. You don't want to fight with your anger or bad things could happen."

Alec said, "He took my fiancé. I am a shadowhunter. We fight with heart and not anger. I do feel hungry though."

Lily said, "Here is a blood bag for you. I got it while you were fighting Lucca."

Simon said, "Why didn't you tell me that one of your brothers was alive and a vampire?"

Raphael answered "Lucca was around 17 and I thought he disappeared. We couldn't find his body or any other part of him. I thought he was dead. I had no idea that he went to go find a vampire to become one like me. He was always the bad one too."

Jace said, "That was a good fight Alec. You are a great vampire shadowhunter."

Alec ran over to Magnus and hugged him. Alec said, "I missed you even though it was only for like 15 minutes." Alec kissed Magnus.
