Dreama let it slide that Volf and Trooper stopped talking about something when she came into the room. She looked up when they heard a knock on the door and the surgen came in to check on Volf and after speaking with physical therapy. The doctor told them that Volf could go home and as long as he rested he would be alright. He gave them the reminder card for the appointment Dreama made for Volf that morning.
When they got home Dreama had Volf go sit down while she got the bags sorted and the dirty clothes put in the hamper and then started working on their dinner for them. She looked up seeing Volf walking into the kitchen, she smiled at him "How are you feeling dear?" He smiled and walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist and nuzzled her neck. "Better now I have you in my arms."
She smiled and turns around and kisses him softliy. "You still have to take it easy dear." She wraps her arms around his neck and leans slightly into him careful of his ribs. He nods his head and smiles softly leaning forward and nuzzles her neck more taking in her calming scent. "Yes I know Dreama but I just want you in my arms and take in your scent." She smiled and runs her hands through his hair as he keeps his muzzle in her hair against her neck, she knew that he would need this so he could calm himself down and relax some from being in the hospital overnight.
After a few minutes Dreama pulled back and kissed him softly and turned to check on their dinner but Volf kept his arms wrapped around her waiste and muzzle in her hair until she was moving to put their dinner on the table. He went and sat down but moved his chair close to hers and kept on handpaw on her leg. He was needing that closeness after not sleeping in the same bed for a night and being in the hospital. Dreama smiled softly to him and then she got up to get them some drinks.
They enjoyed a quiet dinner and then Dreama helped Volf with a shower careful to not jar his ribs and to help keep the stiches dry. After she took her shower, Dreama took her own and then got ready for bed. Once they were laying down Dreama moved close to Volf knowing he would want her close to his side all night in order for him to sleep quietly.
It was a couple weeks later and the doctor had cleared Volf to go back to normal activity that the surgery had done it's job and fused together Volf's ribs togerther ensuring that they healed properly. Dreama smiled and knew that Volf would be relieved that he could do what he normally would be doing.
Once they got home from the doctor's office Volf smiled at Dreama and moved towards her and wrapped his arms around her waiste and leaned down and kissed her softly and then rested his forehead against hers and smiled softly. "So I can return to all activities my dearest Dreama, so that means that I am going to be going out again to search for vampires."
Dreama closed her eyes and pulled away from him some and nodded her head. "Yes I know that Volf but doesn't make me happy about you putting yourself into that kind of danger." She moved away from Volf into the kitchen where she pulled out her mixer and bowl. He knew she was stressed by how she started pulling out her baking supplies, he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her from behind and nuzzled his muzzle into her neck. When he did this he felt her melt like she always did and she closed her eyes.
Dreama sighed softly and leaned back into him and nodded her head. "Volf I know you are tryings to sooth me, but this is a huge danger to you to keep going out there the way you are. I want you to swear you will not engage them unless you have to engage them." Volf sighed and wrapped his arms around her and pulled her tighter to him. "Dreama you know I can't do that, if they are there I have to destroy them if they are breaking the laws of our kind. I will promise though that I will do all that I can to ensure I come home whole. If I need you instead of trying to drive my motorcycle while injured I will call you to come get me unless it's dangerous for you. Just bring Trooper with you so he can bring home my motorcyle."
Dreama nodded her head and touches his face gently. "Alright I can agree to that Volf." He smiled and pulled her into their bedroom and showed her how he felt about her putting his whole heart into his touches and kisses. By the end of it, they were both exhausted and snuggled into eachother. Volf held Dreama close to him and kissed her hair. He loved her more than life itself.
Once night fell Volf woke up and slowly moved from the bed away from Dreama as to not wake her. He showered and dressed for the night. He leaned over and kissed her head, with that he left their apartment to go about the city and look for those who would treaten their safety. He smiled thinking about his afternoon and evening with Dreama. He couldn't wait to see her grow with his child, but that would come later.
Dreama woke and smiled seeing the note and rose Volf left on his pillow for her, and she smiled knowing that he thought of her to leave those for her to find when she woke up. She yawned and went to shower, she blushed softly knowing about the afternoon they shared showing eachother what was in their hearts. Dreama washed and eased the soreness from her muscles. Once she was done with that she put on one of his old football jersey's and a pair of shorts. Dreama went into the living room to watch the news for a while before making her something to eat.
Things have been going great for the last few weeks for both Volf and Dreama. They were enjoying the time they have together. Though this night is something was different, off as if there was something wrong in the air. About 3am Dreama got a text from Volf's phone saying to be at an abandoned warehouse on the otherside of town. Dreama frowned but got up and dressed to go see what was going on. When she got there with Trooper, they started looking around for Volf and then they saw him tied up between two poles his head down. Dreama looked at Trooper "He couldn't have sent me that text." She spoke softly, there was a chuckle from the side.
"No he didn't send you that text but I did." There was a Vampire and about 5 others with him and they were all smiling at her and then one went over to Volf and lifted his head. When they lifted Volf's head Dreama gasped and saw how beaten he was, Dreama looked to Trooper and they knew they had to get out of there with Volf and fast if they were going to live.
