Trooper looked at her and shrugged his shoulders, "Well Lily will understand that I am doing this to help my brother out, and to make sure that he stays safe. The wounds you treated last night could have killed him if we weren't there when we got there. Also if he doesn't want you in danger, someone else needs to go with him to hunt these things down. We may only be half brothers, but I need him to stay alive, we thought we lost him once. We will not lose him again."
Dreama sighed softly and nodded her head, "Trooper I felt his absence just as much as anyone if not more considering what I went through while he was gone. Everyone telling me to just move on that he was gone and not coming back. Though talk it over with Lily first and then we will talk to Volf. One battle at a time Trooper one battle at a time." Dreama was sipping a mug of hot tea that she made after Volf was in their bed and back to sleep from the pain medications. Trooper moved and hugged her and kissed the top of her head like a brother would.
"Dreama you are the sister that I never had, and I will make sure you are protected and make sure my bonehead brother takes the help he needs." Dreama smiled softly and shook her head slightly. "You both are stubborn and hardheaded." Trooper grinned and shrugged, "Must be from our mother, or our mother had a thing for stubborn men." Dreama laughed softly and nodded her head.
Dreama finished her tea and went to go check on Volf. She found him sleeping peacefully, Trooper patted her arm and whispered that he was going home to talk to Lily, she nodded to Trooper. Dreama walked into the room and sat down beside her fiance on the bed and eased the hair that fell into his face. She smiled softly, and then laid down gently beside him on the bed and closed her eyes falling to sleep. Volf instinctively pulled her against him, she snuggled against him some. The next morning they woke up together, Dreama gently moved from Volf to make sure not to distrub his wounds. She gently touched his uninjured shoulder. "Volf wake up, we need to check your wounds."
He woke up slowly and nodded his head. "okay" He move slowly to get up, but groans and lays back down. He was hurting from trying to move to get up. Dreama's hand was on his good shoulder, " I didn't mean for you to try to sit up Volf." She moves his hair from his face, and gets up to get him some pain medication. She helps him lift his head to take the medication, she eases him back down and he sighes softly. "I know Dreama I just want to sit up and not laydown all day." She smiled softly and kisses his cheek. "Volf right now it's best for you to stay in bed and I can help you sit up after I have checked your wounds." He nodded his head and relaxed into the bed again. Dreama checked his injuries and all was going well for him nothing had opened and it was starting to heal up.
Dreama smiled softly, "Well there is no infection and you are starting to heal despite the stunt you pulled yesterday walking by yourself." Volf smiled sheepishly and nodded his head, "I am sorry about that, but it got me into this bed." Dreama shook her head and sighed "and here I thought you were trying to find me to suck up to me after making me upset." Volf laughed softly. "Oh that was the main point of getting out of the bed, but I do have to admit I did enjoy waking up to you laying beside me in bed." Dreama laughed and shook her head "Volf what am I going to do with you?" He smiled and shrugged, "Kiss me all better." She smiled at him and nodded her head. "I will kiss you but I doubt it will make you all better dear, though it might help with the pain." He smiles and nods at her, he settled back into the bed and yawned some from the pain medications that Dreama gave him. "Thank you dear"
Dreama smiled and nodded her head. "Your welcome love, but there is something I really want to ask you to do for me if you would." Volf looked at her with a slight frown. "What can I do while I am laid up with these injuries Dreama?" Dreama smiled some, "Well once you are healed Trooper and I were going to suggest that he trains with you, so that you are not going out alone."
Volf moved to sit up as he tried Dreama helped him and he shook his head. "No Dreama, Trooper is not going out hunting with me, it's not safe and he will not go out there with me he has not been properly trained." Dreama sighed and looked at him, "Volf that's why he would train with you, and you can guide him and make him into a hunter with you, it will be safer for both of you because you will have eachother's back." Volf closed his eyes and then took a deep breath, "Dreama I am not liking this idea and I don't want to put him into danger and him getting hurt like I have been."
Dreama stood up and looked at Volf with her arms crossed over her chest, "Volf you are acting like this is going to be an option for you to say yes or no to. I know you are worried about him getting hurt, but you have been hurt badly twice in the last year. Don't you think it's time you had some sort of back up out there with you." Volf looked up at her and then closed his eyes and shook his head as he moved to get up and look at her. Dreama didn't move to help him and stop him, she knew this was going to be a fight that would take them a while to get to an agreement. "Dreama I am not going to put him into danger, and I will not put you into danger either. I have been trained for five years to fight Vampires and look at what they have done to me."
Dreama fought to move to help him to sit back down seeing how badly he was shaking and the pain in his eyes, but she had to stand her ground. "Volf he would not be going out there alone he would be out there with you, and he has also been trained in law enforcement and has trained in many forms of martial arts, all you will have to teach him is what to do with vampires." Volf was shaking as he stood and looked at her, he was having trouble not falling down, he knew his leg wouldn't hold him much longer but he had to make his point. He moved to step closer to Dreama "Dreama it's far to dangerous, I don't want to have Lilly worry about Trooper the way I know you worry about me when I go out into the city." He grabbed and held onto her arms as he watched her face. Dreama reached up and touched his cheeks and looked into his eyes.
"Volf he is talking to Lilly about it, and I think it's a good idea and from what I heard last night Lilly agreed with us. You just need to train him the extra about the vampires, and then when you go out together, both Lilly and I will know that you have eachother's back and can watch out for eachother." Dreama moved to help him sit back down on the bed knowing he was hurting from standing up on his leg again. She sat beside him. "I know you are worried about others getting hurt, but you very nearly died this last time, and I can't lose you and neither can Trooper and your mom."
Volf sighed and closed his eyes and shook his head. "Fine I will agree to allow him to go with me, but he will have to follow my directions completely." Dreama touched his face gently and he looked down into her eyes and then winced. " Will you help me lay down on the bed I should not have stood up again." Dreama nodded and helped him lay back down on the bed, she then looked to his thigh and saw red on the bandages.
Dreama then removed the badnages and looked up at his face seeing it scrunched up in pain. "Volf you opened up your wound, I am going to have to close it again." She moved to get up and then he reached up and grabbed her arm "I am sorry I keep making work for you to do here at home love, it's just I thought when you stood you were going to leave the room and we needed to finish the talk." He took a deep breath and let go of her arm as his hands twisted into the sheets on the bed. "Volf don't worry about it, but we need to get you to listen to me and actually stay in bed for a few days at least." He nodded and smiled some before grimacing again. "Yeah I know thanks love."
Dreama nodded and left the room to get what she needed to take care of his leg, she came back to their room and cleaned up his leg and stitched the wound up again after she gave him a shot of pain relievers and another shot of antibiotics.
"Go to sleep love and I will be back in here in a little while to check on you, I need to get the house cleaned up and laundry going alright." Volf nodded and fell asleep on their bed.
