Chapter 8: The Chase

Brittany watched as Rachel began to do a bunch of cartwheels. There was a knock on the door, and Brittany waited. Everyone stopped arguing for a moment. Brittany's mom opened the door, and Brittany heard her mother talking to someone. "What do you want?" her mother asked in a angry voice. "Is Brittany home, I am a friend of hers," said a voice. "She is upstairs, but you can't come in this house." Brittany heard a scream, and then a thud. Brittany ran out of the door with Rachel right behind her. Brittany found her family members surrounding her bleeding mother. "Mom!!" yelled Brittany. She looked up to see who had done it, and she saw to her horror William standing in front of her. She looked at him, and he smiled evilly at her. Brittany knew that this was no longer William, but a creature just like Mr. Johnson and her classmates. "I have been waiting to see you again," William hissed. "What has happened to you William?" What did Mr. Johnson do to you?" Brittany cried. "He hasssssss made me a better person than I used to be," William replied. "No he has made a monster out of you." "Don't you see what he has done to you?" "You jusssssst don't undersssssstand, because you are a worthless human." "Once you are one of us, you will be happy," William hissed some more. 

Rachel now was shivering in fright. Being a 10 year old girl, she was really young and got scared easily. "W-wwhat is t-tthat thing?" Rachel asked trembling. "Ah what do we have here?" William asked. "Don't you touch her!!" Brittany warned. William waved his hands, and vines shot through the air pinning down Brittany, and her family. William walked towards Rachel very slowly. "Get away from her you disgusting.... Vines covered Brittany's mouth as she shouted. Brittany struggled and mumbled words, but soon found it to be hopeless. Rachel was backing away and trembling the closer William got to her. Rachel reached the wall and couldn't go any farther. William got to her, and smiled at her with a sinister look. "W-wwhat are you g-ggoing to do t-tto me?" Rachel trembled. "You will ssssssoon sssssssee my dear," William chuckled. "Mmmmmh mmmmh," Brittany mumbled. Brittany's family members had fainted at this time, and lay on the ground. 

William grabbed Rachel's arm, and started to drag her to the door. "Your coming with me," William said. "Say your goodbyes everyone!!" The vines uncovered Brittany's mouth. "Let her go, it's me you want take me instead please!!" Brittany cried. "Not a chance, I have a good use for her," William said. William waved his hand again, and the vines covered Brittany's mouth again. William dragged Rachel out the door screaming. Lave me alone!!" Let me go!!" Rachel screamed until Brittany couldn't hear her anymore. Brittany struggled, for hours. Finally she began to loosen the vines that trapped her. Brittany ripped the vines apart, and ran out the door without untying her family. She ran through the streets trying to decide which way to go. She decided to go back to the school. 

Meanwhile Rachel and William were in the Willow forest. He dragged her for a couple more minutes. They came to a house. When they walked in it Rachel saw Mr. Johnson, and Brittany's classmates. "What do we have here?" Mr. Johnson asked. "Here is Brittany's weak point I think sir," William said. "Well then lets make sure Brittany comes to us," Mr. Johnson said. Brittany ran into the school building looking through all the classrooms. When she saw they weren't at the school she ran though Willow forest. She saw a house, and walked up to it. Brittany heard Mr. Johnson's voice, and Rachel crying things. Brittany crept up to the house. "Take this girl to the room, and keep her in there until Brittany comes," Brittany heard Mr. Johnson say. Brittany crept to the back of the room where she and William crept out last time.
