Chapter 2: The Catch of the Day

Brittany was out of breath after fifteen minutes of running straight. She was in the forest pretty far above the creatures, but they were catching up pretty fast. She ran as fast as she could through the woods. When the creatures were getting tired too they began to slow down a bit.  Brittany tried running to her house, but the only problem was she didn't exactly know where she was. The creatures could still see her, so she could not hide anywhere. The creatures finally stopped and fell to the ground exhausted, or so Brittany thought. She stopped running too, and began to collapse to the floor as well. She turned her head to look back at the place where she thought the creatures were laying down. When she did she didn't see them there. Brittany looked all around, but could not see them. She thought they were gone for good until suddenly she felt a dozen claws grab her arms and legs. She started to scream, but then one hand collapsed over her mouth. She struggled to free herself, but they were too powerful for her. They dragged her through the forest until they seemed satisfied of where they stopped. 

By now they had tied her up, and gagged her. She was scared at what she saw all around her. All around her were Paranas. She started to struggle, but two of the creatures kept a tight hold on her. All of them looked at her and smiled a wicked smile. Brittany wondered what they were going to do to her. They began to chuck her through the air laughing as they did, the whole time she was screaming. Each time she went in the air Paranas would jump out of the water, and tried to bite her. She now knew what they were doing. They were going to feed her to the Paranas. She wondered when they wouldn't catch her, but let her fall into the sea with the Paranas. They did this for about five minutes, and she was very surprised that they didn't let go but put her on the ground gently. Brittany was thinking very hard what their plan was . Thoughts entered her mind that they weren't going to kill her, but just scare her. Other thoughts entered like what if they were trying to kill her, but the people that used to control the bodies are trying to help. her. 

She was thinking about this for a pretty long time. They dragged her back to the school where she met with Mr. Johnson again.  "Hello again Misssss BBailey." Brittany mumbled somethings to him, but he just smiled wickedly at her. The creatures did not untie her,but they did lay her on a bed in a room. There were two guards in the room, and two guards on the other side of the door. The ones inside kept staring at her in an unusual way. The way they were looking at her almost seemed like they felt bad for her. She remembered that the two of them were the ones that were like the leaders of her classmates. She recognized one of them to be William Turner. They were the ones that commanded that she be thrown in the air. She wondered if they were actually nice people it was just that the creature who controlled them was mean. She wondered if he didn't control their whole bodies only their actions. She thought that their feeling were what made them not kill her. Brittany promised herself that she would find a way to escape, and free her classmates.
