Chapter 9

KYLE'S POV

I turn to go back into my room, but Samm just stands there. I go to ask if she is coming back in, when she shivers and faints. I just about catch her, before she hits the floor. I kneel down beside her, but begin to feel woozy. Next thing I know, my head hits something soft and the world goes black.

JORDAN'S POV

I look up from my phone, where I've been researching vampires and their dream meanings, to see Jack passed out on the floor, with Rue on top of him. She is also passed out. I look at Alex, who seems shaky on her feet. "Watch ou...!" I start to shout, before everything goes black and I faintly hear an almighty crash.

UNKNOWN'S POV

I slide across the wall, as a shadow, careful to avoid my mate. She is in the next room. It's weird... I always preferred guys and yet...! Here my mate is. A girl. She is worthless though. Not by hunter blood, like her brother. So I will go after her brother and me and the Blood Moon clan, will finally see eye to eye. They will be forced to let me back in and do as I say, as I'll be the new chief. I cackle and the boy stirs, moving on the girls boobs, making her moan slightly. I freeze, hoping they won't wake. The boy just puts his arm round her and they both go back to sleep. "Phew!" I say, wiping sweat away and going for the boy.

RUE'S POV

I wake up on top of Jack, jumping up nervously, laughing and scratching the back of my neck. He laughs at my reaction and grabs the hand I'm holding out for him. I pull him up and see Jordan slumped over his phone, groaning a little. I take a step towards him, he mutters "Alex..." and I hear Jack gasp. I turn round and am taken aback by what I see. There, on the floor, is Alex... Alex surrounded by a pool of her own blood!

- meanwhile -

SAMM POV

I wale up alone and scream. I can't see Kyle anywhere! All I can see is a faint trail of blood, leading in two directions... Merging with the blood seeping out from under the boys door...
