Severina and Rhoda Snape

Summer

Severina P.O.V

As usual, on a Sunday, I woke up late. I'd say it was around 12. I could have slept longer though.

"Severina! Get up!" Dad pounded on my door. Normal Sunday then.

"Yes dad! I'm up!" I shouted. I dragged myself out of bed and looked at myself in the mirror. I was the spit of my dad. Black hair, shiny, looks greasy (I wash it everyday), pale skin but luckily not a hook nose. I have black daring eyes like my father. My nose is my mothers. Normal looking really. My hair is naturally wavy and goes to my mid back. I love my hair.

I got into the cool shower and woke myself up a bit. I did my hair and got out. I dried my hair easily.

I got out some baby blue short shorts and a black 'geek' vest top. I also put on some baby blue high top converses. Then added some mascara to my eyes. I never wore anything else. Finally I was ready.

"Good morning dad." I slumped down into a kitchen chair.

"Good afternoon more like! You can't stay asleep this late." He looked at me sternly with his eyes. I just did exactly the same.

"Ooh! Dad stop! Your scaring me!" I laughed.

"Be sarcastic all you want Severina. You do know you are not going to that muggle concert?" Damn! I forgot I was trying to be good, he had already told me no.

"That's not fair though dad!" I complained. I just huffed and took his toast out of his hand. "I'll have that."

"Severina!" He protested but gave up. I laughed a little.

"Where is little brat anyway?" I was referring to my silly little sister Rhoda.

"Rhoda is her name. She is reading a potions book upstairs. An advanced one, might I add, from the library. The library is that room that is next to your bedroom."

"Oh you are funny daddy. Potions is the worst subject ever!" God I hate that class.

"Well your sister doesn't think so. I think she shall be the best in the class. I am still awaiting her Hogwarts letter though."

"She is probably a squib or something." I mumbled.

"What was that?" Damn it.

"Nothing." I put on my innocent face. "I was just saying that I hope it comes soon. I can't wait for her to be in school with me!" It's all lies! I giggled a little bit.

"She may be a Ravenclaw you know Severina. I hope she isn't, but that is my second choice of house. Slytherin being first." Dad told me.

"I know. You have said, like, 100 times already." I gave him the Snape look.

"Don't look at me like that Severina. I can do it better than you anyway." Dad then just walked out of the room.

No P.O.V

Severus walked up the stairs into Rhoda's room.

"Rhoda? Come and have some dinner. You have been reading for hours." He looked over at Rhoda and saw she was sleeping on the book. He chuckled slightly. He shook her shoulders gently.

"Rhoda baby? It's dinner time." She stirred and rubbed her eyes. She sleepily stood up.

"Daddy? Where's the big blue talking teddy?" Severus laughed and picked up his daughter.

"You were dreaming Rhoda. Dinner is on the table." As he walked down stairs with her, she awakened fully. They all sat at the table and started to eat.

"How's the potions going miss.suck up?" Severina looked at her sister.

"Good thank you mini Snape. I'm better at it than you." Rhoda stated plainly.

"Whatever brat." Severina looked down and ate the rest of her dinner. Severus and Rhoda were still eating but she got up to leave.

"Sit Severina." Severus ordered. She huffed and sat back down.

"Yes Severina. You don't want to get into trouble." Rhoda laughed slightly.

"Why don't you just shut your little mouth!" Severina exclaimed. She slammed her hands onto the table.

"Severina! Don't slam your hands on the table!" Severus shouted. "Both stop winding each other up all the time." He flicked his wand and the dishes went to the kitchen to wash themselves. "I want to talk to you both." They both decided to listen. "Firstly, I am going out tomorrow and would like you to babysit Severina. No questions or moaning! Also, I just want to say that when we get to Hogwarts this year, I want you both to behave properly. You are my children and I am a professor at the school. You would let me down immensely if you got into trouble." Severina snorted. "Yes Severina. You get into trouble a lot. I would like you to change this year though. Also, I would like you, Rhoda, to play the piano for the choir. You are exceptional and I want to show you off." He chuckled slightly and Rhoda went a bit red. "Finally, Severina, you shall be taking remedial potions with me, every Saturday, all day."

"No way!" Severina protested. "I have enough in potions lesson. Now you want me to spend my whole Saturday doing it as well. I have to spend all summer, Christmas and Easter with you, 2 hours every day and now even my Saturdays?" She said sternly.

"Yes Severina. You should be grateful I am giving you the help. I am your father and you shall treat me like one!" He raised his voice slightly, but didn't shout because Rhoda was there. "Now I think you both need to go to bed." The girls got up off their seats and Rhoda gave Severus a big hug.

"I love you daddy. Good night." He kissed the top of her head.

"Goodnight dear Rhoda." He then let her run off upstairs.

"Do I get a hug?" Severina asked sweatly.

"No. Get to bed." He pointed out the door and Severina pretended to be upset but he heard her giggle on the way upstairs.

Severina woke up the next morning. She saw her clock said 9:15. She decided to get up. Not bothering to get dressed she went downstairs. Severus was in his armchair with a coffee and the daily prophet while Rhoda was laying on the sofa with a book.

Severina decided to go and sit on her sisters legs.

"Ow!" Rhoda exclaimed.

"Get off your sister Severina! She is a lot younger than you!" Severus half yelled. "You need to learn that she is not as big and heavy as you. She is also not as strong as you either." Severus said in a bored tone. He scowled at Severina, who scowled back.

"Whatever!" Severina got up and shoved Rhoda's legs out of the way, then sat down. "Ok. So let's sit here all day being boring and drinking endless cups of coffee then fire whiskey while reading books and doing work. What a plan!" Severina exclaimed sarcastically.

"You are looking after Rhoda today Severina. I told you yesterday. I have business to attend to. The appointment of a certain professor is not a very good choice in my opinion. I have things to sort out with the headmaster." He told the girls bluntly. "I will be leaving in a hour and you shall not leave this house! I will probably be back about tea time. So maybe 4 or 5 ish." Severina nodded in understanding.

"Ok daddy." Said Rhoda. "I love spending time with Sese."

"Don't call me that." Severina said through gritted teeth.

"I can call you what I want Sese." She emphasised the nickname.

"Shut up stupid little brat. You do know it's the 2nd August. Still haven't got your letter? Probably a squib." She laughed coldly and Rhoda ran out crying.

"That's it Severina!" Severus shouted. "You are impressing no one and you are certainly not going to the muggle concert. Stupid girl! Your sister is not a squib and I received her letter this morning! I have not shown her yet! Get out of my sight." Severina slumped off upstairs and planned for the day ahead.

"I shall see you later Rhoda. Be good for Severina." Severus kissed the top of Rhoda's head. He has calmed her down after her crying and Severina had half heartedly apologised.

"Don't do anything stupid Severina." With that he dissaparated. Severina grabbed Rhoda's wrist and pulled her to the fireplace.

"We are going to the Weasleys."

"But daddy said-"

"I don't care what dad said. I want to see Fred and it's the first time all summer that dad has been somewhere alone. We are going." She pulled Rhoda into the fireplace and threw down the powder.

"The Burrow!"

They both stumbled as they hit the Burrows fireplace.

"Sev! Rhoda! Pleasant surprise!" Ron gasped. "Fred is upstairs with George. They are planning weird pranks and stuff."

"Thanks Ron. Oh and can you look after Rhoda for me? I want some alone time with Fred. Thanks." Then Severina ran upstairs. She knocked on Fred's bedroom door and waited. The door swung open to reveal a tall, handsome ginger boy who was identical to his brother. Severina could tell the difference though after five years of solid friendship.

The tall boys arms wrapped tightly around Severina.

"Sev! What the hell are you doing here?" Fred exclaimed. He was so happy to see her after the last few weeks.

"Dad went out. Rhoda is downstairs. I so wanted to see you Fred! I missed you so much. I love you." Then they shared a passionate kiss before being interrupted by a cough. "Sorry George". Severina smiled at him. Fred took Severinas hand and they sat on the bed together.

"Ok let's talk ideas." George said.they sat for quite a while chatting and laughing about practical jokes. Then after a while George left the room to go down to his family.

Fred held Severina in his arms and they just sat in a happy silence together. They both ended up lying on the bed with their head resting on the head board. Fred had an arm around Severinas shoulders.

"I love you, you know." Fred whispered and kissed Severina on the forehead.

"I know Fred. I love you too." She propped her head up on her elbow and stared into his eyes. "I love you more than words can say. I am a Slytherin and you a Griffindor, we should hate each other." They both laughed and Fred lent down and placed his lips on hers. The kiss was short lived as a furious Severus Snape banged through the door.

He pulled Severina up and held her by her arm tightly.

"I shall not argue here Severina. We are going home and you shall wish you hadn't disobeyed me!" He whispered in her ear. He nodded to Fred who looked rather shocked that his potions master had burst into his room.

"Hello professor Snape." Fred said with a smile.

"Yes Mr.Weasley, good day." He sneered and pulled Severina from the room while she mouthed 'i love you.' To a bewildered Fred Weasley.

Severus pulled Severina down the stairs and into the Weasleys family room.

"Do not worry Mrs.Weasley, I shall soon have my delinquent of a daughter out of your house. Come on Rhoda." He held a hand for Rhoda whilst using the other to grasp Severina. Then they arraparated.

Rhoda was now in her room and Severina sat on the black leather sofa whilst Severus paced in front of her.

"Why disobey me Severina?" He asked coldly. His voice was full of anger but he did not want to shout.

"It's boring here dad! I wanted to see Fred! You never let me do anything! I'm 15 for Merlin's sake!" She raised off the sofa and stood opposite Severus.

"Why in Merlin's name would you disobey my instructions and leave the house? Knowing full well that you knew I would find out!" He spat. Severina could feel his anger but wasn't scared by it. She raised her voice slightly.

"Because, daddy, I wanted some freedom! Rhoda loves it at the Weasleys! You know it. I just wanted to leave this dingy house for a while." Severina was getting angrier now.

"I can keep you in this house all I want! I need to keep you both safe. Rhoda might well like it at The Burrow, but I may feel it isn't a safe place at the moment!" He shouted. The argument was getting heated now.

"Don't dump Rhoda on me then. I want to be able to go out and do things myself! Live my own life! You never let me do anything!" Severina screamed. Severus became only a few inches from her face.

"YOU WILL OBEY MY ORDERS! YOUR AN INSOLENT LITTLE GIRL JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER LOW LIFE SLYTHERIN GIRLS!" He roared. "YOU NEED TO LEARN MANNERS!" He clenched his fists. Severina had slight tears stinging her eyes and Rhoda sat unnoticed on the stairs, watching them through the bannister. "IF YOU THINK IM LEAVING YOU ALONE AGAIN, THEN YOU ARE MOST WRONG! WHEN WE GET BACK TO SCHOOL, YOU SHALL SERVE 10 DETENTIONS WITH ME!"

"OH NO I WILL NOT! HOME HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SCHOOL! YOUR JUST A NASTY GIT!" She went to walk out of the room but Severus grabbed her upper arm roughly and pulled her to his face.

"INSILENT, STUPID GIRL! YOU ARE 15 YEARS OLD AND YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT! YOU MAKE ME SICK!" He shouted as loud as possible. A tear ran down Severinas face. She struggled in his grip.

"Dad? Your hurting me!" She whispered, as to not make him angrier. He immediately dropped the grip.

"Just get out of my sight!" He said dismissively. Severina ran up to her room. Rhoda cautiously got off the stairs and walked to her dad.

"Daddy?" she softly whispered. Severus sneered and spun round very fast.

"What?" He spat. He regretted it immediately. His daughter little face was stained with tears and she was still slightly crying.

"Your scaring me." She told him. His angry and raging face became soft as he watched his daughters golden eyes.

"I'm sorry Rhoda." She wrapped her little arms around his waist and watched his eyes. "I would never hurt you Rhoda, or Severina. She just knows what buttons to push." He wiped the tears and sat her down on the sofa while he made dinner.
