The next morning I woke up quite early. We were to be in the entrance hall by 10:15am at the latest. I needed to collect Rhoda from Hufflepuff dungeon at 9:45. But it was only 7:30 at the moment.

I hauled myself out of bed and made sure that my trunk was all packed and ready. I decided to take a long bath and relax for a while. The warm water was so relaxing and lovely. Pregnancy seems to take its toll, even after only 3 months. I was starting to get a slight bump.

After nearly an hour, I got out of the bath. I dried and redressed and looked at the clock. 9:00am. Might as well go down for a quick breakfast.

I made my way down to the common room and saw no one in the common room. That's lazy Slytherins for you. On the way to the great hall I saw dad. Striding down the hall speed walking as usual.

"Hey dad!" I called. He turned around and gave a millisecond of a smile.

"Good morning Severina. All ready?" He asked as he walked towards me.

"Yeh. I had to have a nice long bath. Pregnancy is starting to gain on me." I smiled.

"Well I hope the whole 9 months serves as punishment for your foolishness. My grandson will think your his sister." He smirked.

"Oh haha. Well SHE will definitely know your her grandad." I grinned. He glared at me as I laughed and we carried on the walk to the great hall.

We split it a the oak doors and I made my way to the Slytherin table for a change. I wanted to say hello to Whitney before I left.

I sat down at a place near the teachers table and waited. After about ten minutes she came into the hall and sat next to me.

"Good morning Whitney. Excited to go home?" I asked her politely. She shook he head and grabbed some toast.

"Gotta stay here. Got an owl from home last night. Dad has to go on an urgent business trip." She replied glumly.

"Oh. I'm sorry about that. But to be honest, Christmas here is great. Have you stayed before?" She shook her head again. "Well it's is great. I spent about 6 Christmases here when I was growing up. I loved it."

"Thanks. I'm sure it will be good. I am just annoyed that he would suddenly spring it on me like that. I haven't seen him since last Easter. Had to spend the summer with my aunt." I placed a hand on her shoulder in reassurance.

"Honestly don't worry about it." She nodded and we both got down to some eating business.

I couldn't wait for Christmas. I made my way to the great hall for breakfast after sorting out my things. Severina would help me from the Hufflepuff common room later anyway.

Me and Kyle walked to the great hall together. The others were still fussing over their things.

"So what are you doing this Christmas Ky?" I casually asked as we walked.

"Just going home." He put an arm around my shoulder. I smiled slightly. "Mom and Dad don't have much money so we just have a quiet Christmas with a few presents. Nothing exciting."

"I'm sorry." I whispered. "It's the family time that matters though. Not the money." He smiled at me and we went straight to the Huffelpuff table for breakfast.

We talked about different family things whilst at breakfast. Mainly past Christmases and things. I didn't eat much but Kyle stuffed his face.

I glanced at the Slytherin table and saw Severina talking to the girl she was with last night. I'm glad she is making a friend in her house again. When I looked at the teachers table, dad was having a conversation with Mcgonnogal.

I think this Christmas was going to be really good. Even Fred is allowed to come for Christmas. I really like Fred.

When we had finished or breakfast we haut dawdled to the common room and passed our little group of friends on the way. They looked flustered and were rushing. Me and Kyle laughed as theyvirtually ran to the great hall.

When we got to the common room, we just sat on one of the sofas.

"It would have been cool if you could have come to mine for Christmas. But I just know that dad would rather cut off his own arm. No affence." I said. Kyle nodded and looked slightly sad.

"I just wish that the situation was better. My mom doesn't have a job and my dad works as a printer at the daily prophet. A rubbish paying job really. I wish your dad liked me just a little bit. Or even just didn't really bother with me, it's much better than hating me." Rhoda frowned slightly. Kyle seemed to have it hard at home. She was virtually spoiled every year.

"Don't worry Kyle. Things will be ok. At least you have good friends and loving parents. That's all you can ask for." I placed my hand on his to show that I cared. He grinned at me and nodded.

"Your right. My parents really do love me. Someone's they have rows over money, but I'm their world." He interlaced his fingers with mine. "I'm so glad you care Rho. The others don't really seem to get it. Tom is a good mate and so are the girls, but you can really be there for me. Your my best friend Rho."

"Your my bestest friend ever Ky. Don't forget that. Watch out for Joanna by the way. I think she has the hots for you." I giggled. Trying to ease the slight bit of tension.

"In her dreams. There is only one girl for me right now and she is my best friend." He grinned. I lightly punched him on the arm and it got less tense form there.

At 9:45 I was standing outside the common room with Kyle and we waited. Severina came shortly after to take me to the train and stuff. Me and Kyle talked while Severina walked in front of us to lead us to the school entrance. Being only 9:55 we were some of the first people there. There was only about 20 people there in total so far.

Mcgonnogal, Flitwick and Sprout were all standing at the big oak doors.

"Morning students. If all 25 of you could stand in front of me please." Mcgonnogal announced. We all gathered our stuff and made a sort of line in front of her. Fred and George joined us shortly after, along with Percy and Penelope. The group grew and finally Mcgonnogal waved for us to follow her.

"Severina? Do they always escort you to the gates?" I asked as we walked down the path to the gates.

"No. Must be extra security measures." She shrugged. "With Sirius Black lurking around and everything."

"Yeh your probably right." I muttered. It wasn't long until we got to the gates. Dad was there with Dumbledore. We waited patiently until it was our turn to get into a carriage.

"I'll meet you at the platform." Dad said as me, Kyle, Severina, Fred and George got into a carriage.

"Ok dad. See you later." I grinned. He nodded and the carriage started to make its way to Hogsmeade station.

No one really talked on the way to Hogsmeade. When we got to the station I saw Hagrid and Lupin standing on the platform. Lupin opened each carriage to lead the students out and towards the platform.

He soon came and escorted us from ours and I smiled at him which he rerurned.

"Have a nice Christmas professor." I grinned.

"Thank you Rhoda I will." We got into the train and all slumped into an empty compartment.

"So Rhoda. Sev says that Christmas at your is actually ok. Is that true?" Fred mocked seriousness as he leaned forward.

"Yeh. It's great. Dad is more normal at home. But he still likes order and stuff. Although, if dad could take points and I've detentions at home, Severina would probably be expelled." I giggled. I glanced at Kyle and he was watching out of the window. I did feel sorry for his situation.

"Well I'm glad you approve. I think I'm gonna actually enjoy time with my potions master, I never thought I'd see the day." Fred shook his head as he sat back and put his arm around Severina.

"Shut up Fred." She laughed.

We carried on chatting and laughing all through the train trip. Rhoda's friend looked quite sad though. Poor guy. I heard that he never really has a good Christmas. Weird because he's a Pureblood.

It was nearing darkness when we finally got to the station. Mine and Fred's hands were clasped and we levitated our trunks off the train and onto a trolley. Molly Weasley pulled me into a hug and Fred as well. He would be back for Christmas Day anyway.

Dad arrived shortly after and me, Fred and Rhoda left the station with him, after saying goodbye to George and Percy.

We went into an alley next to the station and dad shrunk out trunks, pocketed them, and held me and Rhoda. I held onto Fred and we all disappeared to spinners end together.

We arrived outside the house and dad let us all in. Fred couldn't stop staring around and I laughed at the look on his face.

"Don't worry babe. The house doesn't bite." I nudged him.

"It's all cream and kind of light though." Fred commented. Dad glared at Fred and Rhoda smiled.

"What did you expect Weasley?" Dad questioned.

"I...er...I don't...well." He stuttered. I hit dad's arm lightly.

"Leave him alone dad. Come on Fred, I'll put your stuff in my room." I pulled him towards the stairs as dad called form behind me.

"The guest bedroom Severina!" I chuckled to myself and led Fred up the stairs. I reluctantly put his stuff in the guest bedroom and took him around the house.

"Dad's study/office thing." I gestured to a dark wooden door, the same as all the others, next to dada bedroom. "Dad's bedroom. My bedroom, Rhoda's bedroom." We carried on down the hall slightly. "The bathroom, the library." I sighed and pulled him back downstairs. "The hallway, living room, dining room." Finally we finished and entered the kitchen where day and Rhoda were. "Finally, the kitchen." Fred nodded and soaked it all in.

I poured us some pumpkin juice and pulled him back to the living room.

"So. Do you like the house?" I asked as we sat down.

"Oh yeh. It's alright. I expected it to be like bars on windows, dark walls and hanging perches, like a bat cave really." Fred joked as he grinned at me.

"Haha Fred." I smiled. "Dad quite likes the houses decor, he did it all himself after I moaned about the horrible green walls when I was about 6." I explained. We sat together in a comfortable silence for a while. I laid my head on his shoulder and he put his arm around my waist.

Fred Gideon Weasley was the love of my life and nothing could change that. These few days were going to be great.
