Kat had come over as soon as I called her and told what had happened at the Coffee Bar earlier that day. We sat on my bed in our pajamas with warm coffee and tea in our hands. "This doesn't even mean anything yet, Ashley! He told you himself, he doesn't even know where this is going. He's not even sure he wants it to." she scolded me. Kat was right, this didn't even mean anything... yet. But I couldn't help but wonder if this was the girl he would fall for. What if this was more than a silly high school fling and this was going to be it? Shut up, Ashley  , I told myself, there's no need to get ahead of yourself. They're talking, so what?

We set our mugs down on the little bookshelf near my bed that held more books than it could hold, and started to work on our science project that was coming up at a frightening fast speed. We had a week to build a machine containing over 20 different components that could work on it's own and build a presentation that wouldn't bore our fellow peers half to death. I was in charge of 10 of the components and half the presentation, Kat, the other half. It was already well past midnight and we had barely even started the blue print. We had three days left to build something incredible in order to keep both our 4.0 GPAs. By two, we had gotten the blue print done as well as the list of items needed, we called it quits and turned out the lights.
