6/3/16
Yesterday, I woke up at 6:00 A.M. sharp. I had to get ready for a project that the 6th Grade Advanced Social Studies classes do every year. It is called "The Living Wax Museum."
Here are somethings about it:
1.) You have to pick a historical character that has impacted world history.
2.) You have to do lots of research so you can portray that character, and tell your audience their story.
3.) You have to have props, a costume, and a backdrop that are creative and have something to do with that character.
4.) People put money in a bucket and when they do that you come to life!
5.) All the money you get goes to a charity called Rileigh's Rainbows, it is for kids that don't have the money to buy their own school supplies so we pay for it for them.I had to straighten my hair, put my make up on, and do all the normal jazz I did for the "Wax Museum" project.
Then, my mom drove me to school. There was lots of other people there for Wax Museum too. We got to go in the school early to start setting up. It was amazing because I was performing right next to my best friend.
Where I was, was perfect! I was Queen Isabella of Spain. It was very coincidental because my name is Isabella.
My mom started to help me set up my background and my props for me, while I got changed in the bathroom. My costume was a red and gold Renaissance Queen's dress, because Queen Isabella lived during the Renaissance. It had tons of glitter and sparkles.
At about 9:05 A.M. the bell rang and that is when it started. Family members started to rush through, and then we got a lot of kids in 5th grade.
Midway into my speech a lot of kids started to not pay attention so instead of reading my whole speech I shortened it up, but when my teacher came to grade me it was the full thing.
When she came to grade me, I was in the middle of my speech, so she couldn't hear it all. I was pretty mad because I really worked hard for her only to grade half of what I wrote. Even though this happened I didn't have any mistakes and she told me I got a high A! I wasn't as anxious because my fifth grade friends were there supporting me when my teacher graded me. My teacher said I had amazing eye contact and she loved my idea with my "Final Document."
After I was graded, I was allowed to take a break and see my other friends perform. I got to see my friends carleebear804 Gabriella_Games midnightsun0706 KarinaGirl372 Ambruito2203 KayBug6244 Lilley_Maison and lots of smarty pants friends that don't have WattPad.
At around 10:30 it was all over. I didn't get as much people to watch me as the other Wax Museum members in the first hallway, but I still had gotten lots of money for a charity that we are giving it ALL to, and I still got handfuls of people.
After Wax, I got to leave school early with my mom. My friend Kaylee left early too and we hung out after and did the Chip Challenge, a Video Star, and the What's in my Mouth Challenge. Then, she had to leave to go to her dad's house. So, I went home.
After I went home, I went right to bed because I was so exhausted. That was my day!
