ALICE'S POV:
I walked up the narrow stone pathway to the bench. This got harder each time. When I finally reached the bench, our bench, I sat down and talked to Ross.
"Hi Ross." I said happily. This was my favourite day of the year.
"Mackenzie and James got married last week." I said referring to one of our grand children and her new husband. "It was a beautiful wedding, it kind of reminded me of ours." I paused and sat there for a bit. Enjoying Ross' company.
"Ooh you're going to get a kick out of this." I laughed "a couple of weeks ago I was in Georgia visiting Ryland and his wife and I remembered that hotel we went to when we first met. You know the one I got banned from? Well for old times sake I decided I'd go see if my picture was still up and sure enough it was!" I grinned "apparently it brings the hotel a lot of business. That's good." I nodded. This is what Ross and I did every year. I would come up here and sit on the bench and he would join me and we would talk the day away.
"Jacob thinks we should stop meeting like this, he thinks it's not good for me." I chuckled "He was always such a practical little boy. I guess he's all grown now though. But to me he'll always be the 5 year old little boy that asked silly, onnoxious questions. Just like to me you'll always be the crazy 17 year old boy that did hip thrusts to I want you bad." Before I knew it the sun was going down and the man that looked after the grass was coming up to get me.
"You have to go now ma'am." He said "it'll get too dark." I nodded my head, I've heard that many times over the years. I turned to Ross.
"You remember Thomas don't you?" I asked him referring to the man. "He takes good care of you, makes sure all the flowers I give you stay upright and pretty." I looked down at the tombstone. "Ross Shor Lynch. December 29th 1995 - March 13th 2082. Gone but never forgotten." It said.
"Bye Ross." I said "I love you and I miss you. One day we'll be back together for all eternity, one day soon." I grabbed Thomas' arm and walked with him down to the taxi that was waiting for me.
"Goodbye Thomas." I called through the open window "Take care of Ross for me."
THE END.
A/N SO YES THAT WAS THE VERY LAST CHAPTER. IM ACTUALLY PRETTY SAD ABOUT IT, I REALLY LIKED WRITING THIS. IT WAS THE FIRST STORY I ACTUALLY STARTED AND FINISHED. AND I KNOW I SAID THIS WOULD BE LONG BUT I LIED. SORRY.
