Happy New Year - Chapter 16

ALICE'S POV:

"See you later guys!" I called to the Lynch's. the car Marcus sent for me had parked in front of the house. I heard a chorus of byes before I left the house. The driver took me to the venue. It took my breath away, it was beautifully decorated, I reminded myself to complement the staff. I walked into the building and straight into the room where I met Rita and Thresa. Lots of people took my picture as I walked there. I guess this was what it was like to be famous. The second I opened the door to the small room I was greeted with hugs from my stylists.

"Ok let's get you ready." Theresa rubbed her hands together. First they put me in my dress, allowing me to keep my heels off until the last possible moment. Then they sat me in the chair as they did my hair, make up and nails.

ROSS'S POV:

Our car pulled up to the venue about 20 minutes after the red carpet started. We stepped on the carpet to be immediately blinded by flashes. Tonight was going to be a good night. We posed together in front of a tarp as they took more pictures. Then we were beckoned over by some interviewers.

"And here we have the members of R5." A short blonde woman said to a camera.

"Welcome, to Marcus McGuire's New Years party!" A tanned man said. We all said a variation of thank you.

"So you guys are performing tonight?" The woman said.

"Yeah." Riker nodded.

"And you're being introduced by your girlfriend Ross?" She added.

"Yeah." I nodded "It's Awesome."

"You guys are so cute together." She gushed "I saw pictures of you roaming the town in your pajamas." I blushed.

"There are pictures of that?" I asked ruffling my hair. She nodded her head smiling.

"So do you guys have anything planned, music wise?" The man asked.

"Well our album came out in September." Rocky said.

"And we've just recently been told that we're going on tour in America, Canada and Europe." Ratliff added.

"That's great!" The woman chirped. Then she turned to the camera. "So if you live in America, Canada or Europe make sure to get your R5 tickets!" That was our cue to leave so we left the interviewers and continued down the carpet.

ALICE'S POV:

I looked at myself one last time in the mirror before heading out to the red carpet. My blonde hair was made really curly. I was given light pink eye shadow, black eyeliner and mascara on my eyes. Foundation, blush and pink, sparkly lip gloss. I took a deep breath as I walked out of the building and onto the carpet. There was flashing lights all around me and people were shouting things at me. I tried to acknowledge them but the whole thing was so busy, it was hard. I walked over to some interviewers. There were two of them, one was a pretty, blonde woman and the other was a tall, tanned man. They'd be a nice couple. The man looked at the camera and said

"And now joining us we have Alice Montgomery, the star of Marcus McGuire's upcoming movie!" While the woman smiled widely.

"Hi!" I smiled.

"It's so nice to meet you!" The woman gushed.

"Thanks! It's nice to meet you too! This is my first red carpet." I rambled. I should stop talking so much.

"We were told actually." The man nodded "How is it so far?" I thought for a bit.

"Loud." I decided "and busy." The interviewers laughed.
