The mark

Chapter 2

I was leaning against this brick wall that Matt and I always go to for some reason.

It was like our place that him and I got away together just sharing secrets and staring into the night sky as the stars shined brightly in the dark sky.

All of a sudden I heard something in the distance, I didn't really think anything of it, because no one else knew about this place besides Matt and I.

I turned my head to see him walking up to me.

"Well hey there good looking" he said winking.

I looked him dead in the eye with no expression and said "what do you want"? normally I would of blushed then giggled when he would of said that and we would of laughed about it but this time I was hurting, I didn't want to lose him,I want to be his, and I know me being a total bitch would not help that but it just came out of no where.

But he just looked at me and put his hands gently around my face, slowly moving his thumb up and down my cheek.

He always did this to clam me down, and for some reason it always helped.

"What's the matter"? he asked with this puppy dog look.

I pulled my head away from his hands and hugged him.

"I don't want to lose you Matt" I said as tears streamed down my face.

He tilted my head softly back and looked me in the eyes.

"I know your scared about tomorrow jess,but just remember I will be here for you".

I pulled away whipping my tears from my face with my sleeve, "you don't get it Matt".."it's hard to explain but I'm more then just scared of getting the mark".

He looked at me scrunching his eyebrows together.

"What else are you scared about"?

"I'm..just scared of losing you". As I said that I could feel my face get red hot and my stomachs turn.

He chuckled and looked at me "now what makes you think you will lose me that easily"?,"your my best friend Jess, we stay together forever".

Soon that scared feeling turned to rage. I looked at him then at his lips, I slowly bit my bottom and and leaned quickly to his face and kissed him.

As I did all I could think was ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY?! and as i was thinking that butterfly's were swarming around in my stomach.

I pulled away clenching his arms, I looked at my feet then looked at him,his face was blank and he looked me. I was afraid that,that was the end of our friendship.

But all of the sudden he quickly put his hands around my face and pulled me closer to him and he said "what took you so long"? then kissed me.
