[May lovely, happy times decorate your holiday season, may warm, special memories brighten your new year, may the wonder of Christmas be with you forever.]

I stared at the white blanket covering the whole place through the car window. It’s describing what I’m feeling. Hiding myself to the world. Yes I know, I’m being a girl but it’s too hard to forget. I’ve hooked up with other guys at my school but never went that far; I don’t know what got over me.

“Casey.” Jake said.

Breaking from my thoughts. “What?” I ask.

“I said Casey is actually thinking.”

“Ha, very funny Jake.” I said sarcastically.

We were pulling up to the place where they sell Christmas trees.

“I want a short and fat tree!” I shouted. I just sounded like a little kid right there.

“We got that last year! I want a tall and big tree.” Jake said.

“Short and fat is cuter!” I argued.

“Who wants cute when you can have a handsome tree?”

“SHORT AND FAT!”

“NO!”

“Ok kids, shut up!” Cole shouted. “Casey.” Turning to face me. “We got that last year; can we change it a bit?”

“Fine.”

“And that’s how you handle her.” Cole slaps Jake’s arm and getting out of the truck.

“You’re such a kid Jake.”

“Am not!”

“Ha-ha.” I laughed while getting out of the truck, being fallowed my Jake.

“So are you going to tell me who you did it with?” Jake asks from beside me.

“No.” I quickly reply.

“Why not? I won’t do anything.” Jake begging.

“Ha, won’t do anything?  Sure.”

“Promise!”

I looked over at him; he was a couple inches taller me so I have to look up to him.

“Better pinky swear on it.” I held out my pinky and we linked.

“Now tell me! I waited for months now.”

“Ok…it’s um…Tyler…” I said slowly. Jake had a blank expression.

“What the F?!” He finally says. “When? How? Why? Him?”

“Gah..I don’t want to talk about it.”

“Fine but you’re telling me later.”

By then we reach Cole, who is standing by a tree. “Took you guys a while. I think I found the perfect tree, what you guys think?”

“Perfect.” We both replies.

“Alright, you guys pay and I’ll get the truck.”

I walked over were the checkout line was, there was a middle age women behind the cashier.

“Hey, I would like to buy the tree where the guy with the black jacket is standing by.” I said to her.

She looks over. “Are you sure his not going to buy that?” She asks.

“His my brother.”

“Oh ok! You have a handsome brother.”

“Thanks…” I handed her money and walk away.

When I got back the tree was already on the back of the truck and the boys were already in.

Now were heading back to our house.

When we arrive, are parents were already there.

I got out of the car and head to the front door with all my bags with the boys behind me with the tree. When I got in, the place was warm and all are Christmas things were out, seating in the middle of the living room floor.

“Kids, your home!” My mom shouted from the kitchen.

“Mom where do you want the tree?” Jake asks.

“Just on the tree stand.” She answers.

“Hey.” I said walking in the kitchen, leaving my shopping bags on the stairs.

“Hey hunny, how’s the shopping?” My mom asks behind a cooking book.

“Good, but crazy.”

“Yeah, it’s crazy out there this time of the year.”

“Yeah, where’s dad.”

“Dad is in the room, trying to wrap presents.” She smiles at the thought.

“Haha, why aren’t you doing it this year?”

“Your dad needs to learn, hunny.”

“Haha.”

I was in my room when my phone rang.

It was Kaley.

“Hey girl.” I said.

“Hey! We need to see each other!” She screams in the phone. Ouch.

“I know your excited but please don’t yell.”

“Oh please, handle it like a man.” She giggles.

“Nah, I’ll like to stay as a girl please, come over in couple hours, my brother’s friends are coming over to and I don’t want to be a loner.”

“Oh alright. Is Tyler going to be there?”

“Don’t talk about that asshole.” I snap.

“Just asking, jeez.”

“Ha, yeah his going to be here, im locking myself in my room.”

“Not when I’m there. I gatta go, my mom is yelling at me to do something.” “Alright mom! Just a sec.”

“Ok, see you later.” I say, ending the call.
