Casey’s  P.O.V

The past couple days were busy. Shopping for gifts and preparing for the big Christmas Party that my parents host every year since I was in middle school and every year we rent a place and it’s always different. The party is a day before Christmas Eve, in Christmas Eve we have a small party at our house. All are friends, families and my parent’s co-workers are invited.

I wore my hair in a loose side bun, ¾ sleeve sparkly gold dress and black pumps.

This year we rented a space in one of the hotels near us. The place was very festive, I was charge of the decorations and I like to say, I did a pretty darn good job.

The guess would be arriving soon so I sat by the table, texting my friends.

“You did a good job Case.”

I look up from my phone; Tyler has his hands in his pockets, smiling. He was wearing a dark tux with a navy blue tie with his messy hairstyle, he really look handsome.

“Um thanks.” Going back to my phone.

“Can I join you?” He asks.

“Sure, why not? You’ll do it anyway.” I may be acting like a bitch to him but I have a reason to.

He pulls out a chair, across the rounded table. Neither of us talking for a couple minutes.

“So how you been?” He asks, finally speaking. I could tell his uncomfortable.

“Alright. How about you?” I reply.

“Why alright? And I’m ok.”

“I don’t know. Why ok?” I ask, returning his question.

“Good one.”

“Yeah…”

Another awkward silence.

I’m so confuse, why is he talking to me now?

“Tyler, what do you want?” I finally spoke.  “If you’re trying to get me in bed with you again, it’s not going to work.” I lay back in my chair, crossing my arms. I’m about to lose it soon.

He just looks the other way clinching his jaws.

“I know what I did was wrong…”

“Yeah think?”

“And I shouldn’t have done that.” He runs his hands through his hair. “None of it actually.”

I just stare at him which felt like a long time. A lot of things running through my mind, wanting to say a lot of things but don’t know how to put it out.

“And I shouldn’t have given in.” I finally say.

“Um, yeah.”

“Let’s forget nothing happened last summer.”

“What if...I don’t?” We made eye contacts; his gorgeous eyes can win any girls heart.

“To bad. A lot of people are asking me questions why we haven’t been talking and how I seem pissy when I’m with you.”

“Well, I know you, you told half of them.”

“The only people I told are Kaley and Jake.”

“Sure.”

“I don’t tell everyone my business. Why would I tell people that I did it with some jackass for my first time and leave me behind after he got what he wanted?” I whispered yell, trying not to let the people that arrive hear are conversation.

Tyler looks like he just got slap in the face. Good.

“The only reason why I left is because I freaked out. That night, I was drunk; I didn’t know what I was doing.” He whispered, yell back.

“Bullshit, you’re pro getting drunk and getting laid.”

He looks down at hands and just shakes his head.

“It’s that what you really think of me? If you wanted your first to be special than why did you gave in? What I remembered, I didn’t force you to. ” He was getting angry, I could tell from his eyes.

I was speechless; I look at him for a couple seconds. Then I stood up and walk away to the door. What I do best, walking out of my problems.
