Winter Wonderland

Chapter 4

*Ding..*

I froze; Cole and Jake’s friends were coming over. I hope Jake doesn’t say anything to Tyler.

I was seating on my bed, on facebook. The tree is already been decorated and the Christmas decorations were already up.

“Oh it’s you…” I could hear Jakes voice.

“Nice to see you to Jake.” Kaley says with sarcasm in her voice.

I bolted out of my bed to the stairs and ran down. They are not going to fight. For some reason they started hating each other since last year. They got along perfectly well then. I miss a step and face planted the wood floor.

“Ouch…” I say, lying on the floor. My knee’s starting to hurt. 

“Oh my gosh, Casey, careful!” Kaley walking towards me.

“Yeah, well I didn’t have to run if you guys could be friendlier to each other.” I got up and hug Kaley.

“We are nice to each other.” Jake pointed out.

“Nice my ass.” I say, still hugging Kaley.”

“Whatever..” Jake rolls his eyes and walk to the living room.

“His so stubborn.” Kaley pointed out, making sure Jake could hear.

Jake just shook his head and keeps walking.

“Ha, let’s go in my room.” I start walking up and stop in the first step, making Kaley hit my back.

“Why you stop?”

“It hurts to walk up..”

“Oh, you probably hit your knee hard.”

“Yeah….and I don’t want to stay down here.”

“Well to bad!” She grabs my hand and led me to the living room.

“Ouch! Careful!”

“What happened to you?” Cole asks behind his laptop.

“I fell down the stairs, and hurt my knee.” I say, seating down by him.

“That’s what happened…? HAHAHAHA!”

“Laugh it up.” I smack his arm. “It’s all Jake and Kaley’s fault.”

“Not even.” Kaley responds.

“Hey Kaley.” Cole say’s getting up from the couch to hug her.

“Hey Cole, you’re so much nicer than your other brother.”

“Now I’m the other brother?” Jake say’s from the single couch. 

“Yup.” Kaley says not even looking at him.

“Is that Kaley?!” My mom say’s from the kitchen.

“Yes Mrs. Star.”

“Awww. You gotten more prettier.” My mom starts walking to the living.

Kaley just smiles to the comment and hug my mom.

“Casey, here’s some ice.” She hands me the ice and I put it on my left knee.

“Thanks mom.” I say.

“You need to be more careful. What? Is that like your hundred times falling down the stairs?” She says

“More like a thousand times.” Jake comments, grinning

I glare at him.

*Ding..*

Crap….

Jake walks over to the door and opens it. “Hey man.”

It was Tyler…

“Crap Kale.” I whispered to her beside me, making sure Cole won’t hear my panicky voice.

“Everything’s going to be alright.” She whispers back.

“Hey sweetie.” My mom say’s, giving Tyler a hug.

“Hey Mrs. S.” He greeted her. When they were in a hugging possession, he looks over at me. I just roll my eyes.

“What happened to you?” Tyler ask when they pull out from the hug possession.

“She fell down the stairs, again.” My mom answers.

He smiles at me. “Again?” Raising his left eyebrow.

“Again.” My mom states.

“Thanks mom.” I said sarcastically.

“Anytime hunny. Does anyone want something to eat?” She asks, walking back to the kitchen.

“No thanks.” Everyone said.

“Ok, well I made some cookies if anyone wants some.”

“Hey Kale.” Tyler says, opening his arms to her.

“Hey Ty.” She got up and hugs him.

All together we are one big family.

“Hey Case.” Tyler waves at me and I just nodded, the nod says hey.

“Sooo…” Jake said, he probably notices the awkwardness. “Everyone’s late.”

“Dude you didn’t give out an exact time.” Cole pointed out.

“So?” 

Twenty-minutes later people started arriving.

Everyone greeted them even my mother. My mother was like a mom to our friends, which tells that we are all close.
