If you love something let it go, this is a phrase I never understand. Because although holding on is full of pain, letting go is anguish.
If it comes back it's yours to keep, this confuses me even more. Because just as I fear letting him go, he could fear coming back to me.
If it doesn't it was never yours in the first place, I will never trust this. Cause I don't know what goes on behind the scenes when I'm not around, and it could be the one thing that keeps him away.
But I know that it is extremely dangerous to hold on. It's like a grip on a bar to stay secure but it leaves a mark on all involved. And I don't know what's worse, either way there's pain.
