"Hello, may I take your order?" The voice box's electronic voice blared from the speaker as Hide drove into the drive-thru lane, cheerfully chatting with Kaneki.

"Two hamburgers, please." Hide spoke cheerfully and turned to look at the black-haired boy sitting in the passenger seat. "Kaneki, did you want anything else?"

"No, I'm fine," He replied, nervously fiddling with a loose thread in his sleeve. The black-haired boy looked over, watching Hide's eyes widen.

Hide really wasn't expecting a girl to smile at them as the window rolled down.

"Crap. Is this what love feels like? Wait, no. Love at first sight doesn't exist... I think. Shit, why's my heart beating faster?"

"Two hamburgers will be 800¥, sir." She spoke politely. The bleached-blond haired boy blushed when she handed him the correct amount of change, their fingers brushing.

"You're cute.." He mumbled.

The (Hair Colour)-haired girl felt her face begin to flush, and coughed delicately as she turned away. "A-ah... th-thank you..." She murmured, bashfully bowing her head.

Hide looked down at the name tag attached to her shirt, lifting his gaze and sending her a sunny smile. "(Name), my name's Hide. Can I have your number?"

"Hide.." The black-haired boy hissed and elbowed his friend in the arm. after a moment, he smiled apologetically at the server. "Sorry about him..."

She laughed softly, shaking her head. "No, no, it's fine." (Name) stated. She looked away for a moment as she seemed to ponder about something in her head.

"Are you free tonight?" Hide asked suddenly, but covered his mouth. "I-I meant—"

(Name) smiled. "I am, actually." She scribbled something down on a piece of paper, folding it neatly and handing it to the boy. "Does seven work for you?"

"Y-yeah..!" Hide accepted the paper, smiling brightly. He was still in awe of having received her phone number as their order was handed to them in a brown paper bag.

"Great. Just.. meet me in front of this restaurant. I'll see you later, Hide." (Name) grinned before raising her hand to wave at them as they left the area.
