First Day of Finale Practice

We arrived at a completely different location from the audition. This place was huge. This was Ladies of Excellence Dance Company. They hold lots of shows there.

Dancers this is where you will rehearse for the next three days and the third floor is where the live show shall be. Come on follow me this way. I'm giving you a tour so you won't get lost in this place.
First off I will show you your group rehearsal space. This is where you will meet today for the group dance rehearsal.
Now upstairs.
We walked up like two flights of stairs and when we got to the second floor we saw people come out of the elevator.
This is where yall will learn your solos. Each room has a name on it. You will be assigned a dance teacher, which you will learn your solos. Your teacher will be chosen by your dance styles. Now dancers you will meet downstairs in an hour for group rehearsal.

30 minutes after

Maria POV
Luiza I still can't believe we are in the finale. Like who knew.

We were the first two in the rehearsal space. We were warming up.
Luiza wore a pink tank top and a silver shorts. Her hair was out and she had a silver bow in her hair. I don't know how her hair stays so neat, what does she do. Anyway back to me. I wore a green top and a black leggings. I had my hair in a ponytail, and I don't know why but it's always messy like come on.
While we were warming up a familiar face entered the room. I couldn't tell exactly who it is but I know his face from somewhere. He walked straight passed me and over to Luiza. This was how the convo went
"Hey Luiza."
"Oh.. Hi Alejandro, what are you doing here?"
"Oh.. I came to help with the group rehearsals."
"Oh okay."
"It was nice seeing you and I wish you good luck in the competition."
"Thank you and nice seeing you too."

He walked passed me again and out the door he went. Am i invisible or something?
Luiza was kinda blushing after their convo. Ummm...... Does she like him?

"Hey Luiza who was that? "
"Huh what? She broke out of her daydream."
"I asked who was that? "
"Oh, that was Alejandro, he plays chess with us. Don't you know him?"
"Or, that's where I know him from. His face seemed familiar."
"Apparently he is here to help teach the rehearsal."
"Oh. Cool, it looks like he likes you."
"Are you crazy!!!!! He wont like me. That's madness!!!!!!!"
"Do you like him Luiza."
"Ummm.... No maybe maybe not .... I don't know."
"Okay Luiza whatever you say."

And we were back to warming up.

5 minutes later.

All the dancers were in the room stretching while Luiza and I were chatting. A little while after Alejandro came in with this other person. I was guessing the other person is the head coach.
Okay everyone, I am Mat Thomas and I am the head coach for today and I have my assistant here today. Hi my name is Alejandro Rodriguez.
Okay everyone let's get started. Now I want y'all to spread out and i want the three strongest dancers in the front.

That was me, Luiza, and Ella. The name of the song we will be dancing to is EMPIRE- the next step.

Luiza POV
We started learning the dance and surprisingly the dance was kinda difficult. I don't know why I was so distracted and I wasn't picking up the choreography as fast as I know I can.
During rehearsals I asked Mr. Thomas to take a break to catch myself. I really didn't know why. Was it Alejandro? Or the pressure of being in the front? Or even being in the finale. I drank some water and sat down clearing my mind, when i heard a familiar voice, it was Alejandro.
"Luiza are you okay ?"
"Yeah I'm fine, just needed to clear my head."
"Okay just remember if you need anything you cam come to me."
"Thank you."
With that he gave me a warm hug. I walked back inside and continued rehearsals. I felt way better, more confident and my dancing was up to part with the rest of the front line. I felt happier.
Rehearsal was finished like 15 minutes later. The dance looked amazing. Tomorrow I'm gonna learn my solo and the day after put everything together. Then its will be the big day.
