Chapter 3.
After the tragic events of the previous night, Angela had not left William's side. She needed William, he was her light to the day, she needed him by her side all the time. The dull beep of the heart monitor and the small, steady breaths that left his mouth were the only things keeping her from breaking down. She had heard that some people can hear people when they are in a coma, and she hoped her boyfriend was one of those people.
"Hey Billy. I don't know if you can hear me, and I don't know when or if you will wake up, but you need to hear this. Kelli, Spencer, TJ, Angel, Hal and Jeremy have all heard about you and are extremely worried. Kelli has been the only one to visit you from your Lab Rats family, but from the texts I have been getting, it seems they are really worried about you, especially that the whole incident with your knee was just a few months ago. Quit scaring us, Billy. Your Elite Force family is worried as well. Paris and Kelli, well, they seem really scared and worried. Jake and Bradley are worried as well, but they are keeping us hopeful. We gotta thank them for that. And then your actual family, Karly, Erin and Eric, I haven't seen them more worried since your knee. Eric had a emotional breakdown as soon as the doctor said you were in a coma. Erin and Karly, they are constantly texting me for news and checking up on you, but Eric is acting like he did when you broke your knee. But they love you a lot, Billy. So do I. I can't live without you. And neither can your family. I love you, and I need you to wake up, William Brent Unger." She sighed as she ran her hand through his hair and kissed his forehead, receiving not so much as a twitch in return.
Dr. Jackson came in and saw her.
"Ms. Moreno, visiting hours are over." He said and sighed as he started looking at William's vitals.
"Dr. Jackson? Is it true that people can hear while they are in a coma?" Angela asked.
"It really depends on the person. You need to go home, ma'am. I'll call you if there is any change." He explained.
Angela nodded, kissed William's forehead and whispered "I love you."
Then left, hoping that her boyfriend would wake up soon.
-Next day-
"Hello Ms. Berglund." The receptionist smiled as she started going through her papers.
"Hello ma'am. I'm here to see William Unger."
"Yes, second floor, room 253."
"Has there been any change since yesterday?" Kelli asked, hoping for something.
"No change, sorry."
"It's alright." Kelli lied and weakly smiled before going into the elevator, then William's room.
She sat down in the small chair near his head and held his hand.
"Hey Billy. Spencer and TJ came over to my house yesterday, and TJ did the funniest thing. He bought me some candy to cheer me up, and inside there was a note that said, 'Hey Kelli, guess where the candy is? Relaxing in TJ's stomach.' I got so mad cause I wanted the candy and tackled TJ to the ground. Spencer was laughing the whole time. Anyway, Erin got held up at work today, but Eric should be by later. He's the one who is taking this the hardest with the exception of Angela and your mom. Angela won't even leave your side half the time. TJ, Spencer, Jake and Bradley are keeping us optimistic, which is good. Paris also will be by later. She really misses you." Kelli explained as she squeezed his hand.
Suddenly, she heard the door open and saw Eric.
"Hey Eric." She smiled as she hugged him.
"Anything yet?" Eric asked.
"No. But you have to remember, it's only been two days since the accident. He'll wake up soon, Eric." Kelli explained.
"I sure hope so. I'll see you around."
"Bye Eric." She sighed as she picked up her purse and left the room.
Eric started playing a game on his phone when he heard screams from the halls outside. He knelt over to his brother and put his hand on his shoulder.
"I'll be back in a minute, Billy." He whispered.
He slid his phone into his pocket before walking out of the room, locking it behind him to keep William safe. He slowly walked towards where he was hearing the screams when he suddenly saw a man with a gun aiming at him. Feeling defeated, he raised his hands in surrender breathing heavily in fear.
"Sir... Relax, please." He told him.
"You don't know anything boy." The man yelled.
"No, but I am sure there is an explanation for everything."
"They killed my wife."
"I am sure that your wife is better up there in heaven." Eric said when he heard a gunshot and noticed the blood running off his shirt. His vision was blurry, he could not see the man very well anymore, the only thing he could see was a shadow, the shadow of his brother talking to him. After that he fell on the ground, his body welcoming the darkness.
