Ch.13 My blood is the answer

"What's going on?" I asked full alert.

"Its this girl here who is unconscious. She was attacked by a vampire. I chased him off before he had a chance to kill her but, Oppa shes not waking up and she seems pale," Minah said.

"Okay Im on my way," I said and then hung up. Minah didnt really care for others so this situation must have bothered her.

After that thought I speeded to the bathroom door opening it just in time to see Evie slip on his shirt. I grabbed him and moved out of the bathroom.

"What are you doing?" He asked. I grabbed him a pair of shoes and socks before he could register anything and handed it to him.

"Put these on were leaving," I said. Evie scowled at me.

"I told you I wasnt leaving with you," He said with the same edge as he did before. I rolled my eyes and slipped his socks and shoes on using my vamp speed and grabbed his arm.

"Now hold on tight. You might feel as if your body is getting pulled in a thousand different places but if you dont let go you should be fine." He took a breath as if to speak but I had already teleported us.

"Shit," Evie said holding his head. I felt sorry for dragging him here but I didnt want to part from him so soon. It was stupid to bring him though.

"Oppa," Minah called from the alley. I grabbed Evie's arm and dragged him towards Minah.  She was crouching down by the girl she was so worried about earlier. I came around her and frowned once I was able to see the girls face. I turned to look at Evie who in turn looked shocked.

"Maroon?" He asked surprised. After it dawned on him he rushed over to her and lifted her up. Her head rolled to the side showing a nasty bite wound. She had loss a lot of blood.

"Evie, Im going to heal her. She had already loss to much blood," I tell him.

"What are you going to do? One of your buddies already took a bite out of her. She doesnt need anything else. Lets just take her to the hospital," Evie said angrily. I was going to say something to calm him down until Minah spoke.

"Dont talk to my Oppa that way. Obviously you know what he is so that means you know what he is capable of. Watch your tongue," She spat.

"And watch yours," I said to her with narrowed eyes. Minah looks at me startled at first until realization dawned in her eyes.

"This is the one you were talking about?" Minah asked smoothly. I gave her a nod and a warning stared before I returned my attention back to Evie.

"She will die if I dont help her now," I said to him.

"What are you going to do?" He asked. I was hesitant to tell him at first but he asked and I didnt want to lie. I sighed and answered him.

"Im going to give her some of my blood."

"Are you crazy! I dont want her to turn into a vampire!" Evie exclaimed. I blew out a breath of frustration.

" She will die then. Her heart is already weak. Even if we take her to the hospital now, her chances are slim. And she wont get changed into a vampire not unless the vampire who is giving the blood is willing  and wanting to change that peraon," Minah explained. I didnt wait for Evie to say anything as I grabbed his friend from his grasped and placed her on my lap. I bit into my wrist feeling the skin tear. Opening her mouth I placed my wrist there and watched as my blood drip into her mouth down her throat.

After a couple of seconds of feeding her, I brought my wrist up to my mouth and lapped at the wound making it close, as if nothing was there.

Minutes later Maroon stirred but remain unconscious. Her wound started to heal, which was a good sign. I looked up at Evie to check his reaction and frowned as he looked at me through hooded eyes.

"Your blood can do that?" He asked. I gave him a nod. Minah looked at the both of us with a frown on her face. Anger swirled in her brown eyes. "You know how many people you can save? You could stop people from dying Ki."

"I've thought of that. Many times in my long lifetime. But it comes down to the law of the universe and my morals. Evie," I tell him. He frowns at me and cocks a brow.

"Your morals? What is so bad about wanting people to have a second chance? And what do you mean the law of the universe?" He asked anger clouding his eyes.

"There is nothing wrong with helping people or giving them a second chance at all. That is not what im saying. What im saying is that I cant find myself, playing as god, determing rather a whole mass of people should die or live. Its not right, even now with Maroon, how would you feel if another vampire with the same ability like me, pass her up because he felt that she didnt need saving?" I asked him. Evie was quiet as his eyes went through different emotions trying to digest my words. "And Evie, not everyone is meant to be saved. People die so that new life is born. With out life and death, or love and hate, the balance of life will be off. Thats why people like me suffer. We shouldnt be here but, for some reason we exist." Evie sighed and looked down at Maroons sleeping form on my lap, and nods.

"I get it. Will she be okay?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"Good. Now can you please take us back home? That party doesnt look as appealing as it did before," He said. "Oh and You exist because you should, dont question it," Evie says meaning every word.

I smiled at him.
