Gracie's pov

"The surgery went well.. You guys can go and see him." The doctor says. We go to his room and I let Karen, Phil and Jess go in first. Karen soon told me to come in. I walked in and over to him. I softly stroked his hair. He smiled and reached out for me. I gave him a hug and he kissed my cheek. I look him in the eyes and grab his bear from my bag. He had given it to me to keep before he went into surgery. I handed it to him and he grinned.

"Your really cute baby." I said kissing his nose. He pouted and then made a face.

"He's really out of it isn't he?" Jess asks laughing. Nathan looked down at a board that was on his lap and writes something. It reads. 'I'm so not!' I giggle.

"But you are baby." I whisper and then there's a knock on the door. Soon dad's head pops through the door.

"Heeeeyyyyyyyy...." I heard Tom say. We backed away and let the boys have their time with Nathan.

"He's so out of it." I giggled. Jess nodded.

"He's off on cloud nine." Nathan locked eyes with me and reached for me.

"Gracie, get over here." Max said and I walked out. Nathan reached for me and I grabbed his hand softly.

"Hi baby boi, hey boys." I said. They smiled.

"Hey Grace." Jay said. I waved. I moved hair away from Nathan's face and he closed his eyes with a soft grin on his face.

"We love you brother." They said. Soon after the doctor told everyone to get out.

"Nathan, let go of my hand." I said. He wrote something with his free hand on the board. 'doctor? Can she stay and I'll rest?' The doctor sighs.

"Yeah, Gracie can stay." He then comes and whispers to me.

"Please make sure he sleeps. It will speed his recovery up." I nodded.

"Of course doctor." He left the room and I kissed Nathan lips causing him to relax into the bed. He moved over and I climbed in with him. The lights were out but it was still pretty light.

"Sleep well Nath." I said snuggling up to him. 'I will.' He mind links back. I soon hear his snores and that tells me he fell asleep, me not long after.

Three days later

I had to leave to finish the door with Carrie and Hunter. Nathan wasn't too happy but; I promised him I would only be gone for three weeks, we're coming into the part of the tour and then I'm coming home. Once I was on the bus Hunter comes running out of the back room with a little blonde boy behind him. I stop them and Hunter gives me a hug.

"Hey Grace, how's Nathan feeling ?" He asks.

"He says his voice hurts and he's itching to get back to performing." I said. Hunter nods.

"That's to be expected. This is Carrie's nephew William." Hunter says gesturing to the small boy who was staring at me in awe. I bent down to his level.

"Hello, I'm Gracie. It's nice to meet you." I said. He waved and wrapped his arms around Hunter's leg.

"Hi." He says shyly. I giggled.

"Your too cute!" I gushed ruffling his blonde hair. He blushed.

Later that night the boys, Carrie and I go out to dinner and I catch up. Even though I was gone for a couple of days. Carrie was telling me how William is staying with us for the remainder of the tour. He seems like a total sweetheart.
