In this chapter, we will be telling you how to beat writer's block!

Every single author will experience writer's block at least once in their writing life. And that's why we're going to advice you about it! Writer's blocks are annoying, and you have to do everything to beat it!

Solution 1

Take a break
Sometimes, you might not be able to write because you're tired. Your body craves for sleep, so give it what it wants.

Advice:
Try sleeping early that night or even take a whole day off from writing. It works, really.

Solution 2

Break your routine and your habit
Some of us have a good place to write. We do too. We often go to a specific table or place in the same room in the same building or house to write.

Advice:
Take your writing tools and materials to a different place to write. Your new surroundings might give you inspiration for new ideas.

Solution 3

Brainstorm
This is one of the most obvious thing to do when you get writer's block. But often, you still end up staring at your empty notepad.

Advice:
Try drawing a plot. Force yourself to think of the new plot. Rethink and rewrite your story if you have to.

Solution 4

Five minute brain exercise
This fun little exercise will allow your brain to get moving again and energize it again.

Advice:
Write down every single thing that comes to your mind for the next five minutes. They don't have to be related to each other.

Solution 5

Go somewhere comfortable, or to your favorite place
This can relief mental tension and break those invisible writing barriers. You will also feel calm and be able to think better.

Advice:
Know where your favourite comfortable place is. It could be your old swing, or your favorite couch. Put your mind at ease when at these places.

Solution 6

Be inspired by the creativity of others
Try looking for inspiration from your favorite authors. Reading other people's work can make you feel more confident and give you the drive, making you ready to write.

Advice:
Read one of your favorite books. Try to imagine the story, and how the author was able to write like that.

Solution 7

Pen down the plot of your story
Writer's block can happen even before you start writing. In fact, it happens to many new writers too.

Advice:
Take a separate sheet of paper to write down all your ideas for a story, no matter how crazy they sound.

Solution 8

Consult your friends
Even though they might not write, they can still come up with the best ideas ever. Fresh minds, right?

Advice:
Just ask them for help.
