[[Okay, I figured two chapters isn't enough to get you guys interested in this book, so I'm uploading another. Here, read it! And vote please, because if you don't vote, I can't write new chapters, and if I can't write new chapters my friend Kurohana will kill me - by the way, she sees me every day, so please, save me! ;)]]

Chapter 3 - A Feast

Hours, days, maybe even weeks of being on the water; the boat thrashing on the black water, the salty air around me arousing the worst stomach ache I've ever had - it was all too much for me to handle. In the course of three days, I must have gotten two hours of sleep and ate four meals; which all came back up all over the side of the boat. Bo' Rai Cho hobbled over to me twice the first few days, "Lassy, if you keep throwing up on my boat, I might have to throw you over board!"

"I'm sorry," I spluttered, lying across the edge of the boat. My stomach still wasn't settled, and it was torture to talk. "I just can't stop-" There goes another meal. It wasn't even solid anymore; it was just acid.

Bo' shook his head, "You kids; can never hold your stomach on a boat. I was raised on a boat, me'self, and never once threw up! Now of course, we're not counting the time I drank several kegs on a bet - that's an interesting story. Would you like to hear it?"

Though I viciously shook my head before exploding into retching again, Bo' continued to tell me the story of how his alcoholism won him 200 'koins' as they call them. He made sure to tell me it's spelled with a 'k' around here, not a 'c'. Never once did he truly realize I was dry heaving on the side of the boat, until Johnny ran over - he had the same idea as I did. I had to jump back before he threw up. "Neither of ye' are listening, are you?" Bo' finally asked. He chuckled to himself before reaching for a flask in his large leather belt. "Here; take a drink." He said, handing it to us. Johnny was more than willing to drink it, while I was more hesitant.

As soon as the liquid touched his tongue, his face turned green once more. "This is disgusting!" Johnny gasped.

"Well of course, you idiot, you're not supposed to taste it!" Bo' hissed, taking the flask from Johnny and handing it to me. I winced at it, not sure how much more of this I could take. "Oh come on, don't be such a wuss!"

Johnny stood up a little straighter, "Actually, Zak, I can feel it working already."

Looking between the two men, I finally shook my head, "I can't believe I'm doing this," and took a swig of the unknown liquid, making sure it didn't touch my tongue and simply went to the back of my throat. Bo' smiled broadly as he took the flask from me and put it back in his belt, which held several other flasks, I noticed. "I suggest you kids get to your bunks, and quick too - this is fast actin'."

"Fast acting? What does it do-" I began, but the thud next to me proved what it did; Johnny was passed out on the deck, snoring away. Bo' laughed while I tried to wake him up, but I felt myself falling asleep; it was a sedative. Sure, it was nice of him to help us out, but couldn't he have told me what it was first?

"Come on, Johnny, let's get - ...let's get to be-..." Blackness.

Something cold was patting my forehead, while steady wind blew in my face. It was relaxing and enjoyable, but I was frowning. I couldn't very well remember what happened. What if I fell off the deck while I was asleep? Am I on some deserted island? Is Johnny with me? Are we in Edenia? My eyes seemed to be glued shut; never once opening to look around and discover these answers for myself.
