Chapter 7 - Finding Out

Everyone was preparing for the guest arriving in two days; there was even an extra hut set up. Since I was going to be this person's servant, the hut was right across from mine, for easy access. I was training even harder, but with Leia, not Bo'. She showed me how to enter a room my 'master' is in, and how to exit. Who knew this process could take all day... Once again the rub burns and scabs on my knees were too much to handle. Johnny couldn't breathe when he saw me waldling back to my hut. He couldn't breathe because the bastard was laughing too hard.

Not feeling up to beating him to a pulp, I glared at him and slammed the door behind me. This person is dead when I see them; whether they're Keanu or not. My cot had never been so comfortable - in fact, it never was, I was just extremely tired. Collapsing onto the thick fabric that cradled me each night, I tried to close my eyes and catch a ten minute nap before dinner. However, every time I closed my eyes I saw Keanu, stepping off a boat, like the one we had come here on, catching me when I ran into his arms. I wondered if he would be eating dinner with us, or if I'd still have to sit next to Liu...I really hoped not.

First things first; I have to see if this fighter is even Keanu. Something told me it was, though, and that was the only thing keeping me going. Though it was only a couple weeks, it felt like months, or even years, since I had last seen him. I missed him, and sometimes it was too much to bear.

"Hey, Zakyya, it's time for dinner." Johnny knocked on my door. I gave an irritated sigh before climbing off of my cot and making my way to the door, still walking odd from my sore knees. At least I had taken off my servant's outfit; just wearing the black shorts and tank top I wore beneath them every day. Johnny wasn't laughing when he saw my knees; they were torn to shreds and still bleeding a bit. "Wow, I have a new respect for women."

"You had better." I growled. We walked together to dinner, in the giant tent, like we always do. We sat down at the same spot, like we always do. And we ate the same thing we always do; noodles, chicken, rice and dumplings. It was still delicious, though.

"Zak, if you wouldn't mind, I would like to skip training tonight." Bo' said durring our meal. He peered around an irritated Liu; he obviously didn't like that Bo' was even talking to me, let alone talking around him to speak to me.

"I don't mind at all. May I ask why?" I asked sweetly, but the illusion was demolished by me slurping up an extra long noodle.

"I have a dinner party to attend to. Just a little swaray my friend is hosting, nothing exciting. You may come with Liu and I if you like! Johnny as well!" There's Bo', always being the warm welcome comitee, whereas Liu glared down at his plate.

"I would love to," I agreed, though I would have much rather gone back to bed. I knew coming would make Liu angry, and I wanted nothing more at the moment. I, for some reason, took joy in annoying him. "What time?"

"Liu here will get you at eight o'clock."

I couldn't stop myself; I smiled at Liu, who know was gripping his chopsticks so tight his finger tips burned white. "Must I?" He asked.

"Yes, you must! She doesn't know the way to my hut, now does she?" Bo' then looked back to me. "We'll be flying there."

Flying? How far was his friend's dinner party? Surely we didn't need to fly on a plane there. Instead of questioning him, I finished my food and walked back with Johnny. Since I was barely dressed we went back to my hut, where he stood outside the door while I pulled on black skinny jeans and a simple white long sleeved shirt. I didn't bother with any makeup, or even brushing through my untamed black hair, but merely put on some black tennis shoes and walked outside with Johnny. "Well at least now I can't see your knees."
