How's it going so far? For right now, I'm still uploading chapters from my other account to this one, but soon we'll be getting to the new chapters. I'll upload two at a time.

Chapter 4 - The Help

"Come on, Zak, you're gonna make us late." Someone whined from beside my bed. The door to my personal hut, about the size of a shoe box, was open; allowing bright sun light to pour into my room, over my body, tangled in the bed sheets, and on my eyes. I groaned in protest, but they didn't get the hint. "Zak, I know you'll sleep till noon if I let you, now move it." They sounded more serious this time.

"I'm tired; now let me sleep." I muttered, pulling the sheets over my head.

They were ripped down and off my body instantly, making me cringe from the sudden coldness, even if it was ninety degrees out. "Get up!" Johnny yelled, practically into my ear.

Opening one eye I glared at him, "What are you so eager to get to anyway? If you were this serious about class you would have gotten perfect attendance."

"Well we both know school was never my strongest subject." He grinned, his eyes twinkling inches from my face. "Now come on; I'll find you some coffee."

"Mm, coffee." I moaned, finally sitting up. I headed for the door but tripped over something soft, yet firm. "Ow!" I yowled as I hit the sandy floor. "Who's the idiot who put this here?"

"Raiden; they're our new uniforms. Who knew we were getting uniforms?" Johnny stood up, gesturing down at himself. I finally noticed he was wearing loose fitting black robes; showing his muscular arms and chest. With a shrug I picked up the package and set it on my bed.

"I guess I'll have to wear them, then." But as I teared open the brown paper, I saw they weren't at all like Johnny's robes, but exactly like the servants and waiters' suits and masks at the feast last night. I frowned as I looked at them. "Why did I get these?"

"Maybe the women get red and the guys get black?" Johnny offered.

"I don't know; this seems odd..." I picked up the silk shirt, unraveling its perfectly folded form. From it fell a note. I picked it up, seeing sloppy hand writing; obviously this person didn't spend much time writing. "I will explain it all to you at practice - Raiden" I cocked my head at the note before finally sighing. "I'll just have to wait and see."

The practice grounds were the area of beach we docked on; with all the tents that held weapons of all kinds. Torches had been set up and lit, as well as circles formed on the ground with red sand. I was wearing the red suit, the ninja mask only revealing my blue eyes, while Johnny strut confidently in his black robes, matching them with his favorite black Ray Bands. "I don't think you're allowed to wear those, Johnny." I said, my voice muffled slightly from the mask.

"The first day of anything is always lame; I bet you we won't even see a weapon, let alone use one."

I raised a doubtful eyebrow at him, but didn't push the subject any further. Instead, I adjusted this stupid mask over and over again, trying to move it out of my eyes and out of my nose - I don't see how they wear these things everywhere! "I see you've found your new uniform." Someone snorted. It was hard to see clearly who it was, but I knew by their voice it was Liu. Seeing his form, I randomly swung my hand out, hoping to slap something, but only hit air when he easily moved to the right and walked off, laughing at my feeble attempt to hit him.

"No fighting, we're not even practicing yet." Raiden called out, walking my way.

"Why do I have to wear this stupid thing? It's annoying; I can't see anything!" I fussed, still adjusting it. Raiden simply sighed and stepped forward, moving my hands out of the way so he could fix it himself. Well, he fixed it the way he thought it was supposed to go, but it was still annoying.
