 Chapter 15 - Air Kicks

Hanzo’s hand in mine felt natural; like something that was supposed to happen ever since I met him. Both of us had taken off our shoes, and we were now walking slowly towards camp, barefoot, letting the sand squish between our toes. We didn’t need to speak, since the actions we had just gone through spoke enough for us. My lips still tingled from kissing him; swollen sweetly with content. Or, at least, that’s how I felt. My eyes kept drifting up to meet his then would fall back to the ground when he winked at me, causing me to blush and smile to myself. Everything ran through my mind to the point that it was all I thought about; his lips of mine. I wanted to kiss him more, but I didn’t want to overdo it.

I just felt so giddy; like I was high off romance. I hadn’t felt this way since…well, since Keanu left. I felt guilty that I was enjoying this so much, when I knew I still loved Keanu, but…this felt right; too right to be wrong.

Every now and then, I noticed, Hanzo’s eyes would look up at me, a bit of amused confusion in his face, before he shook his head and looked back down. After a couple more times, I giggled, “What?”

“You’re a very good kisser for a sixteen year old girl.” He said. My face turned a bright crimson at this; was I? I wanted to ask, to make sure I had heard him correctly, but I didn’t want to sound needy.

“Uh, thank you.” I replied, not sure what else to say. Seeing what I felt, Hanzo pulled on my arm, sending me straight into his chest. I looked up into his eyes, seeing the mischievous glint in them before he leaned in and kissed me. I kissed back, enjoying every moment until he pulled away and continued walking, holding my hand once more. After a moment or two, I finally mustered up the courage to say what I had been thinking. “You’re very good, too.” It came out no louder than a mutter.

Hanzo chuckled, “I know.” I was shocked by his answer, but knew that’s just how he was; confident and cunning – everything I wasn’t. I envied his personality. “I’m glad I finally got to kiss you, though. I thought I felt some sexual tension between us.” He teased.

I playfully hit his arm, to which he pretended to wince in pain. “Shut up,” I giggled. “There’s no tension; I hated your guts.”

He shrugged, “Touché,”

Within moments, we were in front of my hut. As we approached the door, I stopped, but Hanzo continued walking to the door; pulling me alongside him. He didn’t open the door, like I had been expecting, instead he left it closed and pulled me forward; causing me to pin against the door, caught between the wood and his chest. His eyes looked down at me. Even if I was just a couple inches shorter than him, I suddenly felt small. I didn’t have to ask what he was up to; his lips pressed down onto mine, kissing me long and firm, not leaving until he thought it was time. When he did pull away, I was winded – for the second time today.

“I like you, too.” He finally said, even though I had admitted to liking him hours ago.

“Well that much is obvious, don’t you think?” I teased, earning another small kiss from him. I wanted more, like I had last time, but just as I leaned in a bit closer to kiss him, he turned the doorknob of my hut, which caused the door to open and me to fall backwards. I caught myself before I could fall to the ground and looked at him, confused. “What was that for?” I questioned.

He smiled, “If we stand here any longer, I don’t think I’ll be able to stop kissing you. Get some rest; you and I will train together tomorrow.” He said before stepping forward and kissing me once more then closing the door and leaving. I was taken aback by this; most guys I know would have stayed, maybe even invited themselves inside. I grinned in the dark like an idiot, blushing and blushing until I thought the blood that was rushing to my cheeks would just leak out of me somewhere.
