"He was checking me out and smirking at me and saying how," I clear my voice, deepening it to sound more like a guy than a girl. ""Everyone wants to meet me."" I finish, walking around my box filled room.
Becca called me fifteen minutes ago and I just started to share about this Paul dude. Honestly, she's laughing at the situation instead of encouraging me to hate him more than I do. Thanks Becca.
"Oh Dani, just ignore him or befriend him. I think you're overreacting." Her sweet voice says on the other side of the phone and I pout, upset that my best friend isn't agreeing with me.
"I don't want to let him win, though." I argue, staring out the double window to see the empty driveway.
A half hour ago everyone left to go get something to eat. I was invited but I declined and said that I wanted to start unpacking. But, fifteen minutes into hanging my clothes, I gave up and called Becca instead.
"Then do what you do, Dani. Fight back and pin him down until he starts calling uncle!" A mans voice encourages me and I hear a slap, someone groaning in pain and I laugh.
"Don't encourage her, Andrew!" Becca hisses and I laugh harder, the silence of my voice overtaking my entire being.
"Thanks Drew! Glad someone agrees with me." I finally say after my laughter calmed down.
"Dani, it's just," She sighs, probably rubbing her forehead. "Ever since Eric-"
"-Yeah, I know. I've been on edge and a little too careful when it comes to boys. But Becca, they even told me he's a man whore!" I exclaim, wishing I had a bed to fall on right about now.
"Just be careful but not too careful, Ell." She says, using my old nickname from when we first met. My mom would always call me that but I've refused to be called it since she passed, Becca and my dad only use it when they're being serious. And that's the only time I'll let them.
"I'll try bee.." I whisper, hearing car wheels pull to a stop and I peer out the window to see that the boys on steroids, the two nice girls, my dad, and the fake blonde coming out. "Look, I got to go. But call me later, okay? I have got to tell you about this Paige chick." I say, walking away from my window and towards one of my boxes.
"Okay, love you!" I hear two voices say in unison, causing me to laugh and roll my eyes, trying to keep myself from falling apart and crying.
"I love you guys too... Bye." I say, trying to keep my voice from cracking. We both hang up at the same time and I place my phone down, opening the brown box to reveal my toiletries.
"Yeah, second door on the left!" I hear my dad shout at someone marching up the stairs. I quickly examine my box to make sure there isn't any "stuff" I don't want the strange boys seeing. Nothing...good.
The door creaks open and feet start to make their way into my room but I ignore it, getting up and gathering my box before navigating to my bathroom.
I enter my bathroom, placing the box on the toilet before grabbing a roll of toilet paper, placing it on the rack and gathering the others to place in the cabinet under my sink.
"So, why didn't you come to lunch, hot stuff?" I hear the annoying voice that belongs to the man whore. I roll my eyes, grabbing my tooth brush and tooth paste, placing them on the sink before grabbing my hand towel and draping it over the rack.
"Don't you have other whores to attend to?" I ask, ignoring his question as I grab my wash cloth, placing it in the top drawer along with my makeup bag.
"I'm attending to one right now, darling." I snap my eyes over to him before marching over to the door, glaring at him.
"I'd rather be eaten by a pack of wolves than to ever be stuck in bed with you." I seethe, slamming the door in his face before turning around to empty the rest of the contents in the box.
Hate it here already...
~*~
"Shoot.." I mumble to myself, watching the box with all of our glassware fall onto the kitchen floor.
The sound of broken glass fills the empty house, the box landing on its top as the contents spill out and scatter all over the hard wooden floor.
"What happe-" Brady starts, his sentence coming to a stop once he realizes what happened.
"Where's the friggin broom?" I ask myself, looking around the vacant kitchen as another figure pops out of no where, starting to sweep up the glass.
"I got it, sweetie." The sweet angelic voice says, making me smile and look up at the scar faced woman.
"Thank you, Emily." I kindly say, grabbing the box but failed being careful. A shard of glass pierces its way through my fingertips, causing me to shriek in pain and grip my finger.
"Ow ow ow.." I curse under my breath, running over the kitchen sink to prevent the blood from dripping on the floor.
"Oh my god... Sam!" Brady shouts, taking the broom from Emily so she can help me.
"What happened, Brady?" Sam asks, Seth and Paul trailing behind him.
For a moment, I see a look of worry and concern cover Pauls face but is quickly covered by his cockiness and stupid smirk.
"We need tweezers, Sam." Emily says, pinching my skin together to help the piece of glass peak out of my skin. I hiss in pain, squeezing my eyes together.
"Emily, where's the- oh, what happened?" The fake voice that belongs to the blonde asks and I roll my eyes. One more person I hate is in the room..great..
"I was picking up the box and-"
"Oh, I'm not worried about you. Your dad said that he loved this set! We're going to need to get new ones.." Paige trails off and I look at her, watching an evil grin play on her face. Where are the two evil stepsisters and that annoying cat?
"There's another set just like it at-"
"Scott! The glassware broke!" She shouts, leaving the kitchen as her fake self struts out of the archway.
Day One: already have two enemies... Oh the joy.
