"Can you get someone else to do it?" I hear someone hiss in a whisper, the warmth on my hip disappearing temporarily.
I snuggle in closer to the warm pillow, pressing my cold toes against it as I try to drift back to sleep. Fingers trace lines in my hip, making me smile and almost fall back asleep.
Almost.
"Just get Collin or Brady to fill in for me! I'll take one of their shifts tomorrow." The voice nearly shouts, making me pop my eyes open.
I rub my head, trying to know where I am and what happened last night. I was lonely, didn't want to be by myself so I asked Paul to stay and keep me company... He still here?
I smile softly, slowly tilting my head up as my eyes see his frustrated features. His eyes are shut, mouth in a frown, eyebrows bunched. He does not look happy at all as his phone is pressed against his ear - no doubt the person on the other end giving him a peace of their mind.
I roll my eyes, betting that he's probably upset over something so stupid as I place my head back down. I let my hand trace patterns on his bare chest, my eyes following the shapes as I listen to his heart beat. His chest rises and falls, a sigh escaping his mouth as a 'thank you' rolls off his tongue before placing his phone down. His hand rubs up my spine and back down, squeezing my hips as he gets himself comfortable.
I rub my lips together, moving my hand away from his chest and slowly looking back up. His eyes are shut - probably trying to fall back asleep - but they pop open again as his other hand rubs his face. I frown slightly, poking his frowning face.
"Why are you so grumpy?" I barely say, my voice hoarse.
At the sound of my voice, he looks down at me before offering me a smile - making my heart skip a couple beats.
"Did I wake you?" Paul gently asks and I shake my head, sitting up.
"No, I woke up on my own." Kinda, anyways. I think to myself as I cross my legs, placing my hands in between them as his hand falls down to my thigh. "Everything okay?" I gently question, playing with my fingers as our eyes meet.
He smiles softly to me, nodding as he sits up and gives me a gentle kiss on the cheek. I feel blood rush to my freckled skin, making me run a hand through my hair as I try and keep my cool.
"Everything's perfect." He answers, a smile on his face.
I slowly nod, looking around the room as I see my puppy's head popped up, waiting for me to call her over to say good morning. I smile at the blue eyed husky, waving my hand as I call her over and her fluffy tail wags as she makes her way onto my bed and on top of me.
I laugh, running a hand through her soft fur as I give her a kiss on the head. "Good morning to you too, Skie."
I look over at Paul as the four legged animal calms down, our eyes meeting. I clear my throat, bitting my bottom lip as I look down. Not a word is said between us. Just complete silence. His hand squeezes my thigh, slowly moving behind my leg and resting softly on my back.
I pat Skie, signaling for her to get up and head to the door before I slowly get out of his grasp, putting on my slippers as I walk over to my door and letting her out.
"Hungry?" I ask, looking over my shoulder as Paul gets out of bed - his sweats hanging loosely around his hips. Gulp.
"Very." He answers, smirking as if he could hear my heart beating a million miles an hour. That's not a thing, though, right?
I smile, nodding as I tie my hair into a messy bun before heading down the beautiful stairs and into the large kitchen.
I open the fridge, finding nothing but milk and orange juice in there. Quickly I close the cold machine, opening the cabinets to see if I can find anything else. To my lack of luck - there isn't. I roll my eyes, closing the cabinet shut as I cross my arms, my pup waiting at my legs as I grab her food before putting some in her bowl.
I hear a chuckle from behind me, making me turn around and see a smiling Paul, his arms crossed over his chest and his abs out in the open for all to see. I think I'm going to have an aneurysm.
"I guess you couldn't find anything?" His voice husky as he leans against the entry way.
I smile sheepishly, putting Skie's food back in the pantry before answering him. "I kinda need to go grocery shopping." I close the door before turning around, basically running into him.
He really needs to put on a shirt before something bad happens to me.
"Well, lucky for us, Emily invited us over to eat." I nod, making my way around him and out of the spacious room.
"Let me change into some sweats and put shoes on. I'll meet you outside." I shout, running up the stairs and into my room before shutting my door.
What's happening to me?
~*~
After I change into some sweats and put on my fake uggs, I met Paul outside with Skie before making our way to Emily's place. Thankfully, he had a shirt in the back of his truck that he changed into before entering the house. I swear, he wants me to die or something.
Paul holds the door open for me as I enter the large cabin. I smile softly to him as Skie bolts past me, excitedly saying hi to the rest of the group. I smile softly at my sweet dog as I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist, a chin resting on my shoulder.
"You have no idea how beautiful you look right now." A husky voice whispers, making me choke on my saliva - ew - and cough aggressively.
I turn around, seeing a smirking Paul as I glare at him, still coughing.
"Did someone get some last night?" Brady teases, getting a high five from the gang as Paul chuckles.
I roll my eyes as an idea comes to mind. An idea that will hopefully get them all back. I smirk, slowly walking closer to Paul before hooking my fingers in his sweats as my other hand grabs his shirt, pulling him down before kissing him.
Our lips mold together, our kiss heated before I pull away and wink at him. "He wishes."
I smirk as I walk away - Paul frozen in place as everyone else gags at our 'moment'.

A/N: Here's a crappy, filler chapter. When do you think I should have Paul introduce the whole wolf thing to Dani? And how would you like me do that?
Let me know what you think in the comments below!
Until next chapter,
