Chapter 1

Everything happened so quickly. One moment Lucia and Levana were sitting down and eating dinner in their small, rose-coloured dining room, and in the next moment, their quaint door was blasted off its hinges by them, the monsters from her nightmares. The house had been charmed and put under a protection spell, but that wouldn't last long due to the might of the of the invaders. As soon as the door had been destroyed, Lucia pulled Levana from her seat and away from the splinters of the door. "Levana! Get to the basement!" Lucia screamed above the racket and practically dragged her down the stairs.

"What is happening?" Levana demanded, as she was pushed down the last few steps, almost tripping multiple times.

"They are here for you. I feared what Harry Potter saw in the graveyard was true, and unfortunately it seems so," Lucia explained vaguely as she cleared a path to a fireplace that was in the back of the small, cluttered, room. Although her aunt had told her about the Floo Network, she had never herself traveled by it. It was a rather frightening experience to watch, because it seemed like that person simply burst into flames.

"Who!? Who is here for me?" She yelled, but got no response. "Lucia!" Levana yelled, which finally got her attention. This was all very puzzling and frightening to the poor fifteen-year-old girl.

"Come child," Lucia beckoned her towards the fireplace. "Your father, you remember the stories about him? Well they are all true, and he has come back. I don't know how they found us, but I can only expect someone betrayed us," The pounding from upstairs finally stopped and the two of them glanced up at the ceiling, however that was no good sign, it meant that they had broken through the barrier and would be after them. The people who had come to capture her were now searching upstairs to see where the girl had disappeared to. "They have broken the charm, no time to explain. You must go, go to Hogwarts, they should protect you there. You can trust Dumbledore," Lucia said quickly and pushed her into the fireplace

"Wait! What about you? How do I know where to go? I've never been to Hogwarts before! Lucia!" The questions came out quickly, and there were many more that she had. Although she knew who Dumbledore was, and all about Hogwarts, she had never been there and never met him. She doubted he even knew she existed. When Levana had asked about going to Hogwarts for her first year, Lucia had adamantly forbidden it, now, it seemed like she was being forced their without any say.

"I am going to stay here and fend them off, try to buy you some time," She replied, then her gaze snapped to the top of the stair where she saw feet. "You must go child. I love you so much," Lucia kissed her head and shoved a locket in her hand. "Take this and show it to Dumbledore, he will understand," The door to the basement was then destroyed as well. "You have your wand, yes?" Lucia asked at the last moment.

"No Lucia! I can't leave you!" Levana was crying now, but there was nothing to be done. She did have her wand with her, but the idea of the impending doom had over-ruled desire to answer that question.

"I hope to see you again darling. Remember what I have taught you," Lucia kissed her forehead and then threw the Floo powder into the fire speaking the word Hogwarts.

"Lucia!" Levana yelled. The last thing she saw before she vanished was her aunt fending off the death eaters who had come to take her away. Then the world turned upside-down.
