Jenna's POV*
My head felt fuzzy as my vision slowly returned to me. Clutching my head, I groaned, trying to sit up. I managed to sit up, still clutching my head, I took in my surroundings."What the fuck?" I murmured confused.
I was in the deserted park once more.
"What the fuck, indeed sweetheart." replied an unfamiliar voice
My head whipped around at the sound. A young man with platinum blonde hair kneeled down beside me. Anger lurked in his steel grey eyes. I regarded him with caution, he gave me a feeling of unease.
He grabbed my left forearm hoisting me up.
"Come on now sweetheart, I want answers."
He let go of my arm and disappeared. What was it with people disappearing on me? I was just about to sit back down when another person appeared. It was a young man with dark brown hair, a slight stubble and the same steely eyes. I recognised this guy. It was the vampire who had approached me in this same park. He frowned at me, confusion clouding his face. Suddenly there was an arm around my neck and another on the side of my head.
Shit. I was going to die before I even finished uni.
. . .POV*
I had gone to the park as Draco had instructed. Only to find the girl I had attempted to feed from. My eyebrows furrowed confusion taking over. The girl regarded me with no emotion. She was suddenly grabbed an arm around her neck and another on the side of her head. Her beat picked up slightly in panic. She closed her eyes. When she reopened all emotion was gone and her heart beat returned to normal.
How had she slowed her heart beat so quickly?
I looked at her in confusion. First the compulsion now this! How? Draco clearly wasn't happy about her response as he began questioning me.
"What's so special about her Rico?"
"There's nothing special about her Draco."
"Really?" he asked incredulously. "Then why is she still alive? She's just another pathetic human why didn't you kill her?"
The girl rolled her eyes at the insult.
"I've never seen her before Draco." I said attempting to get him to believe me.
The girl raised her eyebrow at me. Telling me just how poor an excuse it was.
"Really? That's funny because I saw you follow her." he said in impatience his voice raising in volume as the conversation continued.
The girl looked creeped out by this. I'm not surprised.
"I don't know what your talking about Draco." I was beginning to get frustrated too at this point.
"Is she a hunter?"
"No."
"A supernatural?"
"No."
"One of the human council?" he shouted his voice raising at each question.
"No." I shouted back in response
"Then why haven't you killed her!" he said his patience nearing breaking point.
"Because she can't be compelled!" I yelled back silence filled the air.
Realisation dawned on Draco. The only reasons people couldn't be compelled were that they were supernatural creatures or a human who was already being compelled by a more powerful vampire.
He whipped her around so she was facing him. Confusion was the only emotion present on her face.
"Break your finger." he compelled
"Um, no thanks." she replied looking at him like he was insane which wasn't far from the truth.
He spun her around again using one of his hands to cover her mouth and nose. She immediately began struggling. Her legs flailing everywhere her hands clawing at his hand. Her leg drew back and kicked him straight in the balls. He dropped her. She scrambled to stand up.
He grabbed her again she continued to flail trying to kick him again. He wrapped an arm around her waist to stop her flailing so much. She was beginning to loose consciousness. When Draco started screaming. Blood trickled out of his ears. He dropped her clutching his head. She ran. When she was half way across the park he stopped screaming. Breathing heavily his vampire healing kicked in.
I sped over to her standing behind her I grabbed her. One arm under her legs and the other stopping her from breathing. Nonetheless she carried on struggling, trying to get free. Her struggling weakened as she drew nearer to unconsciousness.
I suddenly felt a excruciating pain exploding in my head. I wanted to drop her as I screamed blood trickling down the side of my face. When I continued to keep my tight grip her skin it felt like there was electricity travelling from her to me, burning my skin as it went. I kept my grip despite how painful it was.
Soon she fell limp, I removed my hand from her mouth. I laid the unconscious body on the grassy carpet of the park.
"Well, what do we do now?" Draco asked peering at the body wiping away the blood under his ear.
"I don't know." I answered honestly "I really don't know."
