Prologue <3

"And they lived happily ever after, the end." Layla says closing the fairy tale book. She looks at her daughter Lucy, to see her frowning. "Something wrong dear?" She says getting up to put the book on the bookshelf. "It's sad how the dragon had to get killed." Lucy says.

Layla raises an eyebrow then goes back to sit on little Lucy's bed. "How so?" She asks. Six year old Lucy looks up at her mom with sparkling chocolate brown eyes. "Did they really know what the dragon wanted to do with the princess?" She asks.

"Go on." Her mother says. "Well, what if he just got lonely and wanted a friend, all his dragon friends are extinct." Lucy says. Her mom looks up at the ceiling then back at her. "True, but the prince didn't know what the dragon would do to the princess. If he waited to find out what it wanted to do it would've been to late to save her if it's motives were bad." Her mother explained.

Lucy nods sadly. Her mom lifts her head up by her chin up gently. "But don't lose that mindset, Lucy. Always try to see both sides of a story." She says. Lucy nods smiling a small bit.

"Now time for you to go to bed." Her mom says. She gets up to tuck Lucy in. When she's finally tucked in Layla gently pinches her cheeks. "Goodnight, I love you." She says kissing her forehead. Lucy kisses her mothers cheek back. "Love you too, goodnight mommy." She says.

Her mom smiles and switches the light off and closes the door as she leaves. Lucy fell asleep almost immediately. She dreamt about a dragon and a princess falling in love.
