Natsu was speed walking towards the Ferris wheel. He was sure Lucy was on her way there too. His plan was to ride the Ferris wheel real quick than go see the fireworks. Where he'd do everything he planned.

Soon the Ferris wheel was coming into sight. He took a deep breath really quick and picked up his pace. He wanted to maybe even beat Lucy there, for romantic effect.

Though once he got there, he found that she was going pretty fast too since she appeared as soon as he did.

Once they saw each other, they ran towards each other with their arms open, Lucy's arms with a shirt attached to her hand.

"Hey!" Lucy says once they embrace each other in a hug.

"Hey, Luce!"

She secretly loved it when he called her that. Ever since that day where she found him in her room she knew she loved it.

He pulls back from the hug really quick to look at her. "What's that?" He asks pointing to the folded shirt in her hand. "Uhhmm I won it earlier." Lucy says. She was glad she had turned it inside out so he couldn't see the front.

"Oh, okay." He says.

"So let's hurry and get over to where the fireworks are going to get set off!" Lucy says. But Natsu stops her by grabbing her wrist.

"Wait, lets get on here!" He says pointing to the Ferris wheel.

Lucy looked it up and down. This was higher than that one ride that dropped from two-hundred fifty feet in the air.

Gulp. "It... it goes too high." Lucy says quietly.

Natsu sighs and rubs his thumb on her cheek. "Luce, I promise everything will be fine. If you feel scared, just know I'll be right there with you the whole time." He says assuringly.

Lucy sighs and takes another look at the Ferris wheel.

"You promise?"

"Yes."

She sighs and nods slowly, meaning she'll get on it. Though she was going to close her eyes the whole time.

After waiting in a short line, they get on the Ferris wheel. Before they had even started moving, Lucy already had her eyes closed and her arms around Natsu's bicep.

Natsu thought it was cute how scared she was. When kids could easily ride this.

Soon the ride started moving causing Lucy to hold even tighter onto him.

Though it would only move a certain amount, then stop, then go again Lucy never opened her eyes.

Then finally they were at the very top. Something Lucy was specifically trying not to see. Yet she knew that's where they were without even looking.

"Luce." Natsu calls

"What." She answers.

"Open your eyes." He says.
