Chapter {6}

No ones POV

Sting and Lucy were walking to the ice cream shop that Sting had told her about. It was close enough that they could walk there with no problem. Lucy was happy she decided to wear shorts today considering how hot it was. Her forehead sparkled with sweat as she walked next to sting.

"So what school did you use to go to?" He asked. She sighed quietly. A really stupid one! "Celestial high." She answered keeping her other thoughts in her head. "How long have you gone to FTA?" She asked. He shrugged. "Since I was in the seventh grade, I went to Sabertooth before that." He explains. She nods. "Why'd you switch schools?" She asked turning her head towards him. He dug His hands into his shorts pockets and focused his gaze on the ground. Lucy suddenly felt like she was bringing back bad memories for the poor guy.

"Oh, sorry. Y-you don't have to..." Her voice trailed off. "It's okay, it's just when my parents died I had to move in with my aunt, and Sabertooth was to far away for me to still go there now that I lived with her." He says shrugging. She nods deciding not to ask any further. He was starting to remind her of her mother. There was silence for a while and Lucy didn't want it to get awkward so she nudged his arm gently. He turned to her to see her giving him a small smile.

"So what ice cream should I get?"

Natsu and Levy were out buying snacks at the local super market. They needed snacks for Lucy's surprise. Natsu had called Levy to help since the surprise would be in her and Lucy's dorm. The surprise was basically him showering her with food while they watched lion king projected onto a wall in her room. They had already gotten Erza to let them use her projector (She just has everything) and they could hook it up to Lucy's laptop which was going to be the home for the Lion King DVD. "Aww Natsu this is so sweet! You just have to like her or something to be doing all this for her!" Levy says, twirling around with a box of cookies in her hands. 

A light blush appeared on Natsu's face. "W-what? Nooo this is just to thank her for always saving me from Gray and Juvia, plus to welcome her to the school." He explains. Although he still thought about it sometimes when they were hanging out. If they'd somehow end up together someday. Levy sighs. "Both you fools are in denial." She says shaking her head. He ignores her comment and starts walking over to the candy section of the store. "Do you think Lucy would like tropical skittles or the original better?" He asks turning to Levy. 

She just shrugs. "Who knows, just get them both." she suggests. He nods and throws the bags of skittles into their cart. They go all around the store filling their cart with more and more snacks. It was fun and with every new snack that was put into the cart, the more excited Natsu got for Lucy to see the final product. FInally they go to pay for all the snacks smiling brightly. "Lucy's not gonna know what hit her!" Natsu says enthusiastically. "Right! she'll be so surprised." Levy agrees. The cashier starts ringing up the items as Natsu and Levy talk more about how wonderful the surprise will be. Soon all the items are rung up and its time to hear the total. Natsu, on instinct starts going through his wallet to get money to pay for everything. 

"Your total is $107.88, sir." The old woman at the cash register says smiling. Natsu slowly slides his forty-dollars back into his wallet as his jaw drops to the floor. Levy's expression mirroring his. "What!?" They both say staring at the cashier. "I said your total is-" Natsu waves his hands in front of her face. "I know, I know! Its just..." He turns to Levy slowly. "How much you got on you?" He asks. She shrugs. "Twenty." He swallows a lump in his throat and slowly turns back to the cashier. "Think we could get a discount?" He says smiling nervously.
