"T-Talk about what?" She asks.

"You know what, Luce. The kiss!" He exclaims. "We can't even talk to each other without feeling awkward." He says.

He had walked all the way into her space. She could feel his breath every time he breathed out. She would move back, so she could salvage her space, but she was backed against the wall which meant she was trapped.

"Let's just talk about this later, Natsu." She says. She was sure lunch would be over soon and this wasn't a topic she wanted anyone to hear them talking about.

"No Lucy, now." He says simply.

She furrowed her eyebrow at him. Natsu's never been argumentative. Especially when it came to what she suggested, he usually agreed happily.

"Later, Natsu." She argued back.

"No Lucy, because later never comes with you, and you and I both know that! It's now or never and I choose now." He says. His eyes were serious, and for the first time she couldn't see playfulness within them.

She began waving her hands around, as if to say forget it. "It's not even that serious! Why do we-"

Suddenly he grabbed her wrist that was in front of his face, making her swallow the words she never got to spit out.

"It is serious." His voice was low and smooth. She'd never heard him talk like this. And for some reason it sent chills throughout her body. and his strong, and warm grip on her wrist sent goosebumps up her arm.

For a few seconds, all they could do was stare at each other. Lucy was taken over by awe, as Natsu was taken over by seriousness. Something Lucy, or anybody, rarely saw.

"F-Fine." She stuttered.

He released her wrist as his serious features started to change back to calm ones.

"Tell me Lucy, how do you honestly feel about the kiss." He asks.

Lucy's heart immediately started doing flips at the thought of the kiss. That plain, gentle kiss.

Though she wasn't sure she wanted him to know how she felt. That she not only liked the kiss, but wanted another one. But this time like the ones in the books and movies, and how her friend's kisses from her old school were. How she longed for his warmth to be wrapped around her as his soft lips locked onto hers.

But she couldn't bring herself to say that.

Yet.

Although she knew one thing she wouldn't, and couldn't do, was turn him down and lie like it was nothing to her. Like she didn't feel a slight spark and long to feel more.

"W-Well, it was my first kiss... so I can't really say how I felt about it." She says. Hoping her little lie was enough to get the situation to keep from being awkward.
