Elyza Lex.
We're walking down the street. The prisoners hand are tied behind there backs and there is a rope from them to my hand. Jane is holding the baby I grabbed is a little boy. Not very old.
With only occasional deceased on our hands we don't have to walk that fast.
After a few hours of walking we come up on a beach.
Deceased are laying in the sand.
We sit down in a shady part.
"So what's the plan now?" Jane asks.
I hate that question. There is not always a plan especially now. Sometimes it's just go with the flow or what's looks best for surviving.
I shrug in response.
"Well I'm gonna go down to the shore." Jane says like we're not living in a world filled of deceased and we aren't trying to survive everyday of our lives."
"Be careful down there."
The older prisoner is trying to speak.
I remove their gags.
"Thank you." The older man says.
"I'm Travis bye the way. And this is my son Chris."
"I'm Elyza."
The baby starts whining.
Ugh.
"Listen I get the whole tying us up thang it makes sense we are strangers but we have a family and we really need to get back to them."
He keeps talking and the baby keeps whining so I get up and walk down to the beach and sit down at the shore with Jane.
"I saw you remove their gags. Any thing useful ?"
"They say they have a group and they want me to let them go so they can back to their group."
Her face brightens up. Ugh. I already k know what she's gonna say.
"We should join them."
"No."
"Come on Elyza! Why not?"
"We don't know these people."
She looks disappointed and then goes back to enjoying the waves splashing on her feat.
