"He what?" Maryse had a look of horror on her face. They were standing in the living room of the Lightwood house in Alicante.
"He asked if he could come round to ours." Robert tried to calm her down.
"And you said yes?"
"He is bringing our grandchildren..." He pointed out.
"Oh, yes the demon spawn and the abandoned orphan. Great!" She exclaimed sarcastically.
"Maryse! I know that you have never really come to grips with the fact
-"
"That our son is gay? That he is in a relationship with a warlock with a reputation for breaking hearts?"
"But," Robert continued," that is NO reason to take it out on his children."
"I know..." Maryse sighed and shook her head, "I just wanted a normal family. Is that too much to ask?" She looked into her husband's eyes.
"We were never going to be that Maryse. We fight demons, for Angel's sake!" He took her hands.
"But we have another chance with Max and Raphael, hell, even with Magnus!"
"Of course you'd be sympathetic with him, you used to be into that sort of thing didn't you?" Her voice suddenly changed from soft to aggressive.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"Well, you and Michael Wayland?" She smiled, knowing that she'd just opened up a can of worms.
"Maryse, you can either co-operate or you can leave. I don't care either way, just know that if you go now, Alec will never forgive you."
She gave him an icy look and left the room. And Robert sighed.Maryse sat in her bedroom and cried, she cried that her son was gay, that she had an awful relationship with her husband and that she missed her dead son Max (who had been killed by Sebastian).
Thud
"Scheisse!" She saw a girl tumbling through the window. She had dark, black hair and blue eyes.
"Who the hell are you?" Maryse looked at her incredulously.
"Sorry, I forgot climbing a wall takes SO much effort!" She stood up and stretched her back. "My name is Morgana, let's talk"
She smiled.
